Baker Mayfield threw a career-high four touchdown passes in another growing-up-fast performance Cleveland Browns Rashard Higgins Jersey , and the Cleveland Browns ended one of the NFL’s longest streaks of road futility on Sunday with a 35-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, who lost quarterback Andy Dalton to a thumb injury.Cleveland (4-6-1) got its first road win since 2015, emphatically snapping a streak of 25 straight road losses that was one shy of the Lions’ NFL record. The Browns also ended a run of seven straight losses to their intrastate rival.“This team is very scary,” safety Damarious Randall said. “We feel like we can go out and blow up any game.”And just as the Browns’ unabashed safety had predicted, it wasn’t even close. The Browns surged ahead 28-0 as former head coach Hue Jackson watched helplessly from the opposite sideline. Jackson couldn’t win with the Browns 鈥?only three victories in two-plus seasons. Nor could he beat them as a special defensive assistant with the Bengals (5-6), who lost for the fifth time in six games.Seeing their former coach on the other sideline added to the Browns’ motivation.“Somebody who was in our locker room is asking us to play for him, and then he goes to a different team Womens Rashard Higgins 2019 Jersey ,” said Mayfield, who didn’t feel like talking to Jackson when they met on the field after the game.Randall had predicted during the week that if Bengals receiver A.J. Green didn’t play, the Browns would dominate. Green was out again with a toe injury, and Randall had a hand in making his prediction hold up.He picked off Dalton in the second quarter, ran out of bounds and handed the ball to Jackson , who was fired last month by the Browns. Jackson responded by tapping him on the helmet.“He just said thank you for the ball,” Randall said.Dalton hurt the thumb on his passing hand while trying to recover a fumble in the third quarter and didn’t return. He was still being evaluated after the game. The Browns turned the fumble recovery into Mayfield’s fourth TD pass for a 35-7 lead. Dalton was 10 of 17 for 100 yards with a touchdown and an interception. From the opening drive Cheap Rashard Higgins Youth Jersey , it was all Cleveland. The Browns’ 28 first-half points were their most since 1991, when they scored 31 against the Colts.“It hurts,” Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd said. “It hurts a lot.”Mayfield was at the center of it all, completing 14 of 18 passes as the Browns surged ahead by 21 points. He was coming off his best game, a three-TD performance during a 28-16 win over Atlanta that sent Cleveland into its bye week. Mayfield finished 19 of 26 for 258 yards as the Browns essentially ran out the clock in the second half 鈥?he threw only four passes in the second half. The first half reminded him of his free-wheeling games at Oklahoma.“A little bit, yeah,” he said. “Everything seemed to be working. But that’s the way we want it here in Cleveland.”GETTING STARTEDThe Browns scored a touchdown on their opening drive for the first time in 14 games. It was the third straight game the Bengals allowed an opening touchdown.CHUBB KEEPS ROLLINGCleveland running back Nick Chubb had another big day Cleveland Browns Christian Kirksey Jersey , running 1 yard for a touchdown and catching a 14-yard TD pass over Brandon Wilson. He’s the third rookie in NFL history to have a rushing and a receiving TD in two consecutive games.INJURIESBrowns: Cleveland came out of its bye week as healthy as it’s been all season.Bengals: CB Dre Kirkpatrick also was inactive with shoulder injury. OL Cordy Glenn was out with a back injury, and fill-in Jake Fisher hurt his back late in the first half. CB Tony McRae suffered a concussion in the third quarter and gave two thumbs-up as he was wheeled off the field.UP NEXTThe Browns play at Houston on Sunday. The Bengals host the Broncos on Sunday. Cleveland Browns:“Vance Joseph, Chuck Pagano, Todd Monken, Jim Bob Cooter linked to Browns coordinator jobs” (ABJ) - “The Browns are busy trying to surround Freddie Kitchens with a revamped coaching staff.”“Browns OL Joel Bitonio named to 1st Pro Bowl” (Browns.com) - “Bitonio has been added to the 2019 AFC Pro Bowl roster. He replaces Pittsburgh Steelers guard David DeCastro, who is unable to participate due to injury.”“Has Jimmy Haslam finally found the right alignment to lead the Browns?” (Grossi) - “For nearly seven years, Browns owner Jimmy Haslam has sought the right ‘alignment’ in his organization to turn the franchise into a winner.”“Freddie Kitchens may not be perfect hire Womens Christian Kirksey 2019 Jersey , but he’s perfect fit for up-and-coming Browns” (cleveland.com) - “Kitchens has always played the part of the underdog, though maybe undeserving of the title.”NFL:“Injuries: Chiefs preparing for Colts without Eric Berry” (NFL.com) - “Eric Berry has been involved in just one playoff victory in his decorated career. He’s expected to be limited to an observer for what could be the second one.”“Steelers owner says it’s ‘hard to envision’ Antonio Brown still on team for camp” (ESPN) - “Antonio Brown won’t be released but ‘all other options are on the table’ regarding his future with the Pittsburgh Steelers...”“Zac Taylor emerges as favorite for Bengals job” (PFT) - “The Bengals appear ready to choose Zac Taylor as their next head coach. Taylor, the Rams’ quarterbacks coach, is the Bengals’ choice, according to multiple reports.”“Eric Reid’s lawyers respond to NFL/NFLPA report, reject findings that he wasn’t targeted for drug testing” (CBS) - “Reid’s legal team rejected the findings in the recent NFL/NFLPA report about the frequency of his random drug testing...”

Hilton in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Perhaps that has changed now that they have selected another receiver with breakaway speed late in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Parris Campbell. Our very own Stephen Reed handled our scouting efforts for the wide receiver position in the Anthony Arena Memorial 2019 NFL Draft guide. His report can be found below. There is little argument that one of the primary weaknesses for the Colts wide receiver group is that no one on the roster has been able to show any consistency stretching the field opposite Hilton. This weakness has allowed defenses to focus a great deal of attention on Hilton and come up to focus on passes short routes by tight ends. Campbell will create mismatch opportunities and force opposing secondaries to make choices. At the NFL Combine, Campbell tired Andy Isabella for the best 40-yard dash at 4.31 seconds. He was fifth at the position with a 40” vertical jump. He tied for third at the position with a 135” broad jump. He also tied for the best 20-yard shuttle time at 4.03 seconds. In his senior season at Ohio State, Campbell led the team in reception with 90 and in receiving yards with 1,063 Womens Darius Leonard Jersey , adding 12 touchdowns. As a junior he took 10 hand-offs for 132-yards and a touchdown, to go along with 40 receptions for 584 yards and three touchdowns. In his sophomore seasons he was named third-team All-Big Ten as a kick returner with 21 kickoff returns for 584 yards, a 27.8 yards per return average. It should be clear to Colts fans by now that Frank Reich likes to have offensive weapons capable of wearing multiple hats. Campbell is definitely that. Between Hilton, Campbell and Hines the Colts offense has blistering speed and athleticism to go along with incredible physical talents like Devin Funchess, Eric Ebron and Jack Doyle. While our film room looks at the offensive line have placed a great deal of emphasis on analyzing pass blocking Youth Matthias Farley Jersey , the last two games have seen the run game get more attention. It was clear from the film that Reich and Sirianni are more comfortable running left, as they should be, but Smith did have opportunities to impact runs to the right side of the line as well. This small film room piece will look at five other run blocks from the Jets and Bills games where we see Smith play a role in the outcome. This isn’t an big impact block for Smith but he does work his way into position to seal the linebacker away from the running lane. He is help by a poor read here but we will take any win we can get from Smith in space at the second level at this point. As we have noted already, he will need to continue developing as a blocker when he is required to take angles and seal, particularly in the interior. In our initial film room piece Matthias Farley Jersey Stitched , looking at Smith’s biggest plays in both phases, we pointed out a poor block on Marlon Mack’s long run to the left. We noted that it is odd to point out a bad block on a big play. This is a similar play call with Nyheim Hines in the backfield. In the second pause, you can see that Smith takes a better angle to get initial leverage. While he doesn’t stonewall the defender, he wins. The defensive lineman had no chance to impact the play.Smith carries over his comfort level blocking against edge rushers to his outside seal blocks. He has shown on numerous occasions a natural ability to allow the defender to run themselves too deep into the backfield and the patience and discipline to rotate his body, keep his feet moving and shove the defender well out of the running lane.If Mark Glowinski can win his block on these plays Youth Nate Hairston Jersey , Smith’s ability to seal will create nice lanes for the backs. This is nearly identical to the previous play. The defender looks foolish and ends up on the ground. Our final Braden Smith run blocking highlight shows him help Glowinski with a chip and release to the second level. He seals Matt Milano inside and sets up Mack with a chance to to one-on-one with a defensive back at the second level. Unfortunately, Mack gets tripped up on Ryan Hewitt’s pull block on the edge.I am both humored and impressed by Chester Rogers in this clip. The receivers are being taught to block players on the run by throwing their body into them with a hip check and spinning away so they back into them. This technique is taught to avoid a blocking in the back penalty, as it is illegal for a player to extend their hands into the back of a defender. It has been effective numerous times this year, including on Marlon Mack’s dump-off touchdown reception.ANALYSISSmith displays the same strengths and weaknesses as a run blocker as he does in pass protection. He has work to do at the second level, blocking in space and he should continue working on ways to put himself into better position with his angles at the snap. However Nate Hairston Jersey Stitched , he is particularly comfortable on sealing defenders on the edge.As we noted at the start, there is clearly a preference to run left. This shouldn’t be viewed as a lack of faith in Smith so much as a great deal of confidence in the left side of the line. Who can blame the coaching staff for choosing Anthony Castonzo, Quenton Nelson, and Ryan Kelly as the preferred canvas when they draw up runs?

The Cowboys made DeMarcus Lawrence the highest-paid player in team history last month. That won’t last long. They will have to pay quarterback Dak Prescott more. The question remains: How much do the Cowboys pay Prescott? Owner Jerry Jones has never wavered about Prescott’s future Dallas Cowboys Tony Pollard Jersey , even while knowing he might have to pay more than he wants to pay to keep his quarterback.“We’re sold on Dak, and we do want to have him for the long term,” Jones said Monday on , via Jon Machota of the . “We think he’s worthy of investing in for the long term. . . .We see real upside in Dak. You don’t have it all yet.”Prescott is 32-16 in the regular season in his three-year career, with a passer rating of 96.0 and two Pro Bowl trips. He has not, though Womens Tony Pollard 2019 Jersey , gotten past the divisional round of the playoffs yet, going 1-2 in two postseason appearances. The NFL's Super Bowl ticketing policies will be put under a microscope this week when New Jersey's Supreme Court considers claims that the league violated state consumer fraud laws leading up to the 2014 game at MetLife Stadium. If Josh Finkelman's challenge succeeds and the case ultimately prevails as a class action, the NFL could be liable for millions in damages to him and other ticketholders, his attorney said."He was forced to pay thousands of dollars a ticket where the face value is $800," Bruce Nagel said. "People were paying five to 10 times the face value of the tickets. That's not right."Finkelman's lawsuit, filed in the weeks after Super Bowl XLVIII Dallas Cowboys Tony Pollard Jersey , cuts to the core of an issue that has bedeviled sports fans for decades: the league's practice of releasing roughly 1 percent of available tickets through a lottery, with the rest going to the teams, sponsors and other insiders.Finkelman claims the practice violates a New Jersey law 鈥?since repealed 鈥?that required 95 percent of tickets to be made available to the public. His suit was dismissed twice by a U.S. District judge sitting in New Jersey who said Finkelman hadn't demonstrated the NFL's policies had caused him economic harm, partly since he hadn't entered the lottery. But after Finkelman refiled the suit, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia ruled last December that the suit could go forward and directed New Jersey's Supreme Court to hear arguments on the applicability of the state law. Those arguments are scheduled for Thursday morning.Finkelman "has overcome a very significant hurdle in that he's shown his legal standing to sue, meaning he's shown a cognizable injury Cheap Tony Pollard Youth Jersey ," said Daniel Wallach, a Miami-based attorney specializing in sports industry law. "But he now has a second obstacle that must be overcome."In his amended suit, Finkelman cited research by University of San Francisco sports economist Daniel Rascher alleging that insiders are more likely to re-sell tickets through brokers, who are more likely to charge higher prices than fans would charge to other fans. The NFL prohibits fans who win tickets through a lottery from re-selling tickets. If more tickets were available to the public, the suit contends, the prices on the secondary market would be lower. The NFL called Rascher's theories speculative and wrote in a court filing that "there is simply no way of knowing whether the people and entities to whom the NFL distributed tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII were any less likely to sell their tickets on the secondary market than members of the general public would have been."An NFL spokesman didn't return a message seeking comment Wednesday.According to Nagel Dallas Cowboys Jalen Jelks Jersey , 95 percent of the roughly 82,000 tickets to the game could be subject to damages calculated by the difference between their face value and what the secondary market charged. That potential figure, well into the tens of millions, would be trebled under rules governing class actions, he said.More hurdles await Finkelman if the state Supreme Court sides with him, however. He would have to persuade a federal judge to grant class-action status Womens Jalen Jelks 2019 Jersey , and survive additional motions by the NFL to throw the case out. Then he would have to prevail in front of a jury, unless the league opts to settle out of court."To use a football phrase, the game is barely in the middle of the first quarter, and the NFL remains a prohibitive favorite," Wallach said.

We’ll know in about a week."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Dallas Cowboys News2019 Cowboys Draft: Juan Thornhill might be the exact safety that Dallas is looking forNew Womens Ezekiel Elliott Jersey ,151commentsWe’ll know in about a week.CDTShareTweetShareShare2019 Cowboys Draft: Juan Thornhill might be the exact safety that Dallas is looking forGeoff Burke-USA TODAY SportsWe are less than a week away from acquiring some new members of the Dallas Cowboys. It’s the final days before Christmas and we’re not allowed to shake any of the presents underneath the tree.Dallas held their annual pre-draft press conference this past week and this is typically something that provides a lot of information on what they’re looking for. This year Stephen Jones did most of the talking which meant that Jerry didn’t have as much opportunity to tip the Cowboys hand, but it was still valuable nonetheless. Listening to either Jones member discuss things it’s easy to come away thinking that the Cowboys have a serious focus on the safety position. Stephen has said several times recently that it’s one of the spots on the team that they’ve devoted the fewest amount of resources to. Just look at the Cowboys defense and you’ll see first-rounders that have been spent at defensive end (not to mention a huge contract), linebacker, and cornerback. Safety has been tough even with the drafting of Byron Jones that they were able to salvage. What exactly are the Cowboys even looking for at safety, though? What type of player do they want? While he was keeping things ambiguous Stephen did drop some information on it, and what’s even more interesting is how one player in this draft class fits that mold almost to a t... Virginia safety Juan Thornhill. We know how much the Cowboys love position flex, it’s part of what did indeed make Byron Jones thrive once more Michael Gallup Jersey , and Thornhill could be someone who they value from that perspective. It’s been discussed greatly as to exactly what kind of safety the Cowboys need, why not get someone who can handle both roles the position necessitates?Thornhill has athleticism that allows him to do a variety of things. He’s skilled enough to roam the backfield but strong and smart enough to make decisions when things break down. He’s a weapon that this team could very much use defensively. Imagine him under the tutelage of Kris Richard. We’ve talked about Thornhill a lot here at BTB, he’s a favorite of many for the 58th overall pick. He’s a realistic option and not one that would require a draft free fall, what’s more is he could be a legitimate star in this secondary. The NFL Draft is an unpredictable thing and Thornhill could in fact be gone in the first 57 picks. He could also be on the board one selection later and see the Cowboys pass over him. Listening to Stephen Jones though it sounds an awful lot like he’s a perfect candidate to wear a star on his helmet.Hopefully that’s the case a week from now. Ed Werder, former NFL beat reporter for ESPN, has heard that changes are quite possible at offensive coordinator despite contradicting comments earlier this week by Jason Garrett.Report: Cowboys checked out mystery coach in past 48 hours, raising questions about OC Linehan's futureA report came out about Cowboys reaching out to a recently-hired coach Womens Leighton Vander Esch Jersey , which has the internet buzzing about potential replacement offensive coordinators for Scott Linehan.Could Cowboys replace OC Linehan within current staff?- Patrick Conn- WFAA.comThe Cowboys are still mulling over their options at offensive coordinator, including sticking with Scott Linehan, but could a promotion from within replace him?Are the Cowboys looking to the remaining playoff teams for a new offensive coordinator? -David Howman- Blogging The BoysIs it possible the Cowboys will replace Scott Linehan with one of these guys?Could Cowboys take familiar route in handling Scott Linehan- Patrik Walker-247SportsThe Cowboys have a history of interesting ways to deal with coaches who have become unfavorable, will they do something similar with Scott Linehan. Can the Cowboys build on comeback season with the current OC Scott Linehan in the fold? The game was the perfect example of what this team is capable of when they are really firing Andrew Luck Jersey 2019 , as they got out to two consecutive long touchdown drives to start the game with a defensive three and out in between. By the time the second quarter arrived, the game felt well in the Colts’ control, and only a badly called touchdown in the fourth quarter for the Texans saved it from being a shutout. There were plenty of winners to go around in this one, so let’s get started with them. WinnersBraden SmithPhoto by Tim Warner/Getty ImagesWhile Smith might not be the name that makes the most sense to lead off our winners as he is not the flashy big play guy, he once again handled J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney like a seasoned veteran. While Quenton Nelson makes the Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro, Smith is also doing incredible things, and eliminating J.J. Watt is a big one. There were very few things that the Monday Night Football broadcast crew got right in their call of the game, but one of them from Booger was that J.J. Watt knocking down the ball was great, but ultimately, he had to start getting to Andrew Luck. He isn’t wrong. While batting the ball obviously can pay off as it resulted in an interception, he was unable to get to pressure on Luck, and as a result, Luck diced up their defense. Braden Smith deserves major credit for the year he has had.T.Y. HiltonPhoto by Bob Levey/Getty ImagesFrom the moment that he showed up to the airport with his Joker backpack we should have known. T.Y. Hilton doesn’t do much talking off the field. He is one of the “let my play do my talking” kind of guys. When he arrived at NRG Stadium in a Pennywise the Clown mask, it was a clear sign of how he felt about being disrespected by a player he has routinely dominated. The whole first drive of the game was the Luck and Hilton show. He had 85 yards on the day, but most of those came in the first quarter. He made big plays early that required the defense to pay attention to him, and the running game took over from there. Marlon MackPhoto by Tim Warner/Getty ImagesLet me say this loud one more time for the people in the back—the Colts are not signing Le’Veon Bell in the offseason. Why would they? Marlon Mack has been great as the lead back in a versatile running back room that has a solid coach in Tom Rathman. This is a group that will continue to get even better, and Mack looks like a completely different guy than last season. Despite only playing in 12 games this season, Mack is 16th in total rushing yards and 6th in yards per game for backs with at least 50 attempts. His 148 rushing yards set a new franchise record for the most rushing yards in a playoff game. That would be impressive in its own right, but that performance came against a team that Football Outsiders had as the top run defense in the league in 2018. What is even more encouraging than that? The team he’ll face next, the Kansas City Chiefs, ranks dead last in stopping the run. Andrew LuckPhoto by Tim Warner/Getty ImagesLuck did not have a remarkable day in terms of his statistical output. You’d have had to watch the film to see his brilliance. He didn’t rush throws, put good touch on the ball when it was needed, and threw darts into close windows when the coverage called for it. In short, he played efficient football and didn’t make mistakes. That was all that was needed given the success of the running game. He continues to make plays with his feet, both extending plays and hitting guys downfield White T.Y. Hilton Jersey , and scrambling for first downs when the opportunity presents itself. His lone interception was more about J.J. Watt’s good play than a bad throw or decision. It might not stand out as an iconic playoff performance, but it was a solid one that got the job done.Kenny MooreTroy Taormina-USA TODAY SportsHow have we made it this far into this story without talking about Kenny Moore? It has been the Kenny Moore show on defense the past two weeks as the Colts corner has really turned it on. His performance against the Texans was crucial, getting a sack as well as another QB hit and breaking up a couple passes in addition to snagging another interception. This is perfect timing for Moore, who has had a solid season, but over the past two games has kicked his play up a notch. If the Colts are going to continue winning, it will take more on defense than just Darius Leonard making plays, and while the defensive line has shown all year the ability to impact the game, having the secondary coming alive as the playoffs get under way is a huge boost to this defense. Clayton GeathersMark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsMuch like Ryan Kelly does for the offense, Clayton Geathers is a big impact player for the defense. His 9 tackles and pass defended don’t tell the whole story of what he brings in terms of defending the run, but his attitude and leadership on the field alone are notable. He is a more disciplined player than George Odum, who is best as a special teamer, and so having him their to defend the run and help keep contain was a big deal. The Colts often opened up the middle a bit too much and let Watson run there and pick up first downs. However, that was only taking place once the game was well in hand and if your defense is forcing the opposing quarterback to run the ball in order to win, they’re doing something right. Geathers being back gave some more heart to the defense and the Colts need him healthy throughout the rest of the playoffs to make a run.Frank ReichIndy Star-USA TODAY NETWORKThis game was about as expertly called as any we have seen all year. It was the picture of excellent preparation, flawless execution, and wrong-footing your opponent. Frank Reich has largely done an amazing job this season, which can make you forget at times that this is his first year as a head coach. Like the rest of the team and staff, he is still improving as a coach and growing. This was his best game yet, and he is raising his own game at the perfect time.Honorable Mentions: Dontrelle Inman, Darius Leonard, Al Quadin Muhammad, Quenton NelsonLosersKansas City ChiefsDenny Medley-USA TODAY SportsEdit: So I see that I completely messed this one up, as many of you have pointed out correctly that the Chiefs would have played the Chargers in the divisional round with a Colts loss. I do still hold that the Chiefs lose here, because the Chargers are the team they know. While they have been playing well, we saw in our game how familiarity impacts the planning T.Y. Hilton Jersey 2019 , and it showed in the Ravens vs Chargers game as well. Instead of a familiar face, the Chiefs will host an arguably hotter Colts team, and the Patriots get to be losers too because they have to deal with a Chargers team that is playing really well. They’re also losers because they’re just the worst. If you are the Chiefs, you should definitely have to be disappointed that the Texans didn’t get a win here. The Texans were one of the weaker teams in the playoffs and the Chiefs match up well against them in every way. Instead, the Colts are the ones they will host in Arrowhead. Chiefs fans are haunted by gutting playoff losses to the Colts, one of which provided a staple performance from Andrew Luck that most of us will never forget. While ultimately the past doesn’t matter, that doesn’t stop it from unnerving fans, as Colts fans know well. Instead of the Texans, the Chiefs will face a Colts team that is red hot, has no fear, and just seems to be getting better. The offseason is officially here and the NFL draft is arguably the leagues biggest offseason event. So each week we will both be mocking draft picks to the Colts and analysing them. We will now be mocking the first two picks of the Colts then building up to include the other rounds and picks as we get into free agency and then closer to the draft. Elliot’s Round 1 - Pick 26Jerome Miron-USA TODAY SportsChristian Wilkins - DL - Clemson Chris Ballard has reiterated the need to fortify the Colts defensive line. The Colts have both Margus Hunt and Al Woods set to hit free agency also. Enter Christian Wilkins, the forgotten man in the defensive tackle group, a group that’s led by bigger flashy names such as Quinnen Williams and Ed Oliver. Wilkins has a great blend of pass rushing skills and nose for stopping the run, managing to rack up 40.5 tackles for a loss and 16 sacks in his college career. He brings a versatility that is similar to Denico Autry in that he has been used inside and on the edge. Wilkins from Clemson projects well as a fit in the Colts interior defensive line. Elliot’s Round 2 - Pick 34Photo by Michael Chang/Getty ImagesA.J. Brown - WR - Ole MissThe Colts are in desperate need for help opposite TY Hilton, so why not grab one of the best receivers in this draft class. AJ Brown is exactly the type of receiver the Colts need to help elevate the pressure of Hilton. Brown offers a big body, secure hands and plenty of YAC ability.Adding a wide receiver like Brown is exactly what the Colts need and may help take the offense under Frank Reich to another level.Reed’s AnalysisAs the first two picks go for the Colts, you probably couldn’t be happier with this combo. Wilkins is exactly what the Colts look for in not just a player but as a person. He’s a penetrating 3-technique who can cause havoc in the backfield. He’s surprisingly stout against the run and is possibly one of the more versatile DTs in this class. Add in that Wilkins appeared to be a leader off the field for Clemson and you’ve got the total package.Brown is an interesting case. He had two quality WRs with him at Ole Miss so his production certainly wasn’t as high as it could have been. That said, Brown has quality hands and runs solid routes. He could contribute immediately but has athletic limitations. I wouldn’t be surprised if Brown turned out to be a better pro than his counterparts at Ole Miss.Reed’s Round 1 - Pick 26Photo by Matthew Holst/Getty ImagesT.J. Hockenson - TE - IowaThis might be a shock to some with the TEs the Colts currently have on the roster but Hockenson, in Frank Reich’s offense, is perfect. He’s the Swiss army knife of TE prospects. He’s effective at the point of attack in the run but has great hands with an ability to make contested catches. Hockenson appears to be an upgraded version of Jack Doyle. Reed’s Round 2 - Pick 34Photo by Butch Dill/Getty ImagesJeffery Simmons - DT - Mississippi St.Another controversial pick here for some fans. As many of us know, Simmons tore his ACL earlier this month. Prior to that, Simmons was consistently projected as a top 10 pick and likely considered the second best DT in the entire draft. He is the perfect gap penetrating DT for the Colts system. He has his limitations at the point of attack but can hold his own.The biggest red flag for fans, myself included White Pat McAfee Jersey , relates to Simmons assault of a woman prior to enrolling at Mississippi St three years ago. You can read the story here and make your own determination. Since that time, Simmons has been a model citizen and a leader at Mississippi St. If this were a draft based solely on talent, Simmons is a no-brainer, which is why he goes at 34 overall. However, Simmons could also be off Chris Ballard’s board entirely. I wouldn’t be surprised either way and would support Ballard’s decision to remove him entirely. Assaulting women is indefensible. Period.Elliot’s AnalysisWow, hello Mr Controversial! Love the Hockenson pick, Hockenson in my opinion in the best tight end in the class and better than his Iowa counterpart Fant, who is getting all the draft attention. Hockenson, as Reed mentioned, is a jack-of-all-trades tight end who really can do it all but also does it all extremely well. If Hockenson was the first pick in the draft by the Colts, I would certainly feel conflicted. On one hand the Colts grabbed one of the best offensive prospects in the draft in a position which will become a future need, but on the other hand may have neglected the bigger immediate needs in doing so. Regardless, the Colts could do a lot worse than Hockenson. Simmons, based solely off on-the-field play and presence, would likely be a top 10 pick in this class, but a draft grade isn’t solely off on-the-field play, which dampens Simmons’ grade. Simmons does wreck havoc along the defensive line and does so well in penetrating gaps which is exactly what the Colts ask of their defensive linemen. However, Simmons’ off-the-field issues aren’t great, Reed mentioned the assault on a female above, plus add in the fact that he has just torn his ACL, so he wouldn’t be able to contribute early on if at all in the season. Simmons isn’t the best use of the 34th overall pick in the draft in my opinion.

INDIANAPOLIS — Andrew Luck started Sunday by carving up Jacksonville’s staunch defense. He finished it by playing the eager spectator. After throwing three first-half touchdown passes and picking up only two first downs in the second half Womens Malik Hooker Jersey , he celebrated when the Indianapolis Colts‘ defense delivered the decisive turnover with 90 seconds left to preserve a 29-26 victory over the Jaguars.“We played well enough in the first half to put some points on the board,” Luck said. “Then we survived.”Barely survived, that is.Trailing by three, Jacksonville quickly marched from its 42-yard line into field goal range, and when Rashad Greene Sr. went down at the Colts’ 23, it looked like the Jaguars were already set up for at least a tying field goal. Initially, Greene was ruled down before the ball squirted out.But just before the Jags (3-6) ran the next play, the whistles blew for a booth review. A few minutes later, the call was overturned, giving the ball and the game to the Colts, who have won three straight for the first time in three years.“I thought we got the play off, but obviously Womens Peyton Manning Jersey , we didn’t,” Jags coach Doug Marrone said before elaborating later. “Personally, I thought it wasn’t a fumble. But I see what everybody sees from the sideline.”Last year’s AFC runner-ups were a popular preseason pick to dethrone New England. Instead, the Jags have lost five straight, six of seven and are last in the division. And they don’t get more painful than this.Jacksonville had an extra point blocked and nearly returned for a 2-point conversion in the first half. Two 15-yard penalties helped Indy score its fourth touchdown, a 1-yard pass from Luck to Mo Alie-Cox late in the second quarter. An offside call on the ensuing extra point prompted coach Frank Reich to go for two, which Marlon Mack punched it in to make it 29-13.Jacksonville kicker Josh Lambo missed his first field goal of the season, a 52-yarder, wide left in the third quarter but then made a 55-yarder to cut the deficit to three with 4:03 left. Finally, Kenny Moore III sealed the Jags’ fate by ripping the ball away from Greene just before his leg went down and Malik Hooker scooped it up.“Offensively we’re looking to improve, put that thing away,” Reich said. “But make no mistake about it: This was a huge win for us.”Luck started fast Cheap Nate Hairston Youth Jersey , hooking up with Eric Ebron on a 53-yard TD pass seven plays into the game. After Donte Moncrief tied it on an 80-yard scoring play, Ebron answered with a 2-yard TD run to make it 14-7. Luck connected with Ebron again on a 12-yard TD pass, giving the tight end a career-high third score with 9:19 left in the first half.Luck finished 21 of 29 with 285 yards, one interception and was not sacked.Blake Bortles was 26 of 38 with 320 yards and two TD passes while Leonard Fournette had 53 yards rushing, 56 yards receiving and his first two scores of the season — one on the ground, one through the air.It just wasn’t enough.“It’s a good defense, a lot of respect for that defense,” Luck said. “We certainly weren’t sharp enough.”100 Gallery:View from the sidelines: NFL cheerleaders 2018Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports | Raj MehtaINJURY REPORTJaguars: Center Brandon Linder and offensive tackle Ereck Flowers both left in the third quarter with knee injuries.Colts: Defensive end Carroll Phillips left in the first half with an injured groin. Defensive tackle Grover Stewart left with an injured ankle in the fourth quarter. Then he added three more points to his record-breaking total (2,553) before missing a 52-yard attempt wide right with 2:58 left in the game.He also tied George Blanda for the most regular-season wins in league history (209).STAT PACKJaguars: Fournette had 29 touches Womens Pierre Desir 2019 Jersey , 24 carries and five receptions, in his third game this season. … Punter Logan Cooke completed a 4-yard pass on a fake field goal, which kept the Jags’ 17-play drive alive to open the second half. The drive ended with Fournette’s 1-yard TD catch.Colts: Ebron finished with three catches for 69 yards. … Jack Doyle and Alie-Cox, Indy’s other two tight ends, combined for five catches and 64 yards. … Rookie Jordan Wilkins broke free for Indy’s longest run of the season (53 yards) in the first half.UP NEXTJaguars: Jacksonville can snap its losing streak next Sunday when it hosts Pittsburgh.Colts: Could get back into the AFC South race by beating Tennessee at home next Sunday. Sam Darnold appeared destined to go to Cleveland in the months leading up to the NFL draft. Then Bernie Kosar Jersey , the Browns called an audible along the way and went instead with Baker Mayfield at No. 1 overall. After the Giants took Saquon Barkley next, the New York Jets ended up with the quarterback they wanted all along and Darnold was headed to the Big Apple."I thought I could've been there or several other teams," Darnold said Monday. "I honestly haven't even thought about it since I got drafted by the Jets. With (Cleveland) having the (No.) 1 pick, I guess there was a good chance I might have gone there, so I was thinking about it before. But ever since the draft, I haven't thought about it."On Thursday night, Darnold will be in Cleveland. But as the enemy 鈥?and a reminder to Browns fans of who they might have had.Not that Darnold, who'll be making his third NFL start, has revenge or redemption on his mind."No, I'm just going to go out there and play ball," he said.Darnold has much more pressing matters at hand David Njoku Jersey White , such as trying to bounce back from a 20-12 loss to Miami on Sunday .The No. 3 overall pick struggled at times with some missed opportunities and mistakes, as did the rest of the Jets. But Darnold also had some positive moments, and at 21 years and 103 days old became the youngest player to throw for 300 yards. He finished with 334 yards passing with one touchdown and two interceptions."Other than the two picks, I thought I played pretty well," Darnold said. "So, I'm just going to continue to try to play as consistent as possible and find completions when I can and take shots when I can."Meanwhile, Mayfield hasn't yet taken a regular-season snap for the Browns with Tyrod Taylor as the starter. The former Oklahoma star is considered the future of the franchise for Cleveland 鈥?a label that appeared reserved for Darnold."I was excited to go anywhere," Darnold said. "Whoever wanted me, whoever wanted to pick me. As a top pick, it was a dream come true right when it happened. I wasn't concerned with who was picking me, but more with where I was going and where I might need to spend the next Womens Jim Brown Jersey , for now, three or four years."The Jets envision Darnold being around for a lot longer than that, and Thursday will serve as the next test 鈥?and step 鈥?in the young quarterback's development. The Browns are still winless since 2016, but they have a tie and a three-point loss through the first two games so they're no pushovers.Gregg Williams' defense has already caused problems for the likes of Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger and New Orleans' Drew Brees, and could be licking its chops to face a rookie at home in front of the Dawg Pound."First of all, I think his guys are ready to play every single game," Darnold said. "They come out fiery and at the same time, they bring pressures that, sometimes, no one's ever seen before. We're going to be ready. I'm focused on what we're doing, but also on what the defense is doing and how we can attack them."The Jets and Darnold will have to do a better job than they did for much of the game against the Dolphins. New York was just 3 of 10 on third downs Nick Chubb Browns Jersey , including 1 of 8 in the first half when it fell behind 20-0.This will be the third game in just 11 days for the Jets, no easy task for a rookie QB. Darnold recognizes that this week's preparation will be condensed even more than last week, when New York was coming off a Monday night game in the opener."It's a different challenge, something I haven't necessarily dealt with, but it's awesome," Darnold said. "It's just another challenge for this team and we're going to take it head on. Looking at Cleveland last night, it was moving on right after that game. We watched that game and then got right to Cleveland. Not the final score that we wanted. Obviously, we looked to come out of there with a win, but move on as fast as possible and get to Cleveland because it's a short turnaround."NOTES: TE Neal Sterling (concussion), S Marcus Maye (foot) and LB Josh Martin (concussion) did not practice, although it was more of a walkthrough session. LT Kelvin Beachum (foot) and LG James Carpenter (foot) were limited. ... Jets coach Todd Bowles said he liked what he saw from Mayfield while going through the draft process. "I thought he was he gritty Womens Baker Mayfield Jersey ," Bowles said. "Had a great workout when we worked him out. I think he's a tough player and he's going to be a good player." ... WR ArDarius Stewart returned from his two-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancers. The Jets have until 4 p.m. Wednesday to make a decision on whether to activate or release him. After Browns running back Duke Johnson asked to be traded, Browns General Manager John Dorsey channeled Tommy Lee Jones and essentially said, I don’t care. Browns coach Freddie Kitchens feels the same way.“At this point in time, him asking for a trade doesn’t matter to me,” Kitchens said, via ESPN. “He’s a Cleveland Brown. Duke’s the type of the guy who’s going to show up and he’s going to do his job and he’s going do his job well. That’s all I can ask for as a coach. His demands, I’m not impacted by that one bit.”Kitchens insisted that Johnson will be on the roster in 2019.“Duke’s under contract,” Kitchens said. “I’ve said this for a month now, I don’t know where all this trade talk started happening. People just assumed we would trade him because we signed another good football player [Kareem Hunt]. I like good football players, and I like as many as I can get. It’s our job to get him the ball and enable him in whatever role that is. Duke Johnson is on this football team and will have a vital role on this team and will help us win football games. Am I surprised he’s still here? No, not one bit. I have never said anything different than that.”Johnson played all 16 games last year but had a diminished role in the offense https://www.brownslockerroom.com/authentic-jim-brown-jersey , finishing the season with career-lows in carries, rushing yards, catches and receiving yards. Heading into his fifth season, Johnson seems like a player the Browns could easily decide to move on from, but Kitchens and Dorsey have both indicated that won’t happen any time soon.

Thomas Marshon Lattimore Jersey Stitched , a second round pick by the Saints in the 2016 draft, had his third straight 1,000 yard receiving season last year. He led the league with a franchise record 125 receptions, totaling another team record 1,405 receiving yards. While Thomas dominated defenses, the rest of the New Orleans receiving corps struggled to provide any consistent threat against the opposition. Running back Alvin Kamara is one of the league's most versatile weapons, and the team signed free agent tight end Jared Cook this offseason to upgrade that spot. New Orleans does expect a big improvement from Tre'Quan Smith and Keith Kirkwood this year after promising rookie seasons, along with a return to health of veterans Ted Ginn Jr. and Cameron Meredith. Saints head coach Sean Payton has always been an offensive minded coach though, so it wouldn't surprise anyone if New Orleans spent an early draft choice on another weapon for quarterback Drew Brees. Today's draft profile has a look at a potential gamebreaker, who could give opposing defenses nightmares. Andy Isabella, WR (Massachusetts)5'9188Matt Bush-USA TODAY SportsIsabella starred in both track and football at Mayfield High School in Ohio. He was the Ohio state champion in the 100 and 200 meters (defeating Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward), and ran a national best 6.72 60m dash during the indoor season. Not heavily recruited due to his size, Isabella chose the University of Massachusetts, the only Division I school to offer him a football scholarship. He was a starter by his sophomore year, and caught 62 passes for 801 yards and seven touchdowns. By his junior year he was a star and a home run threat, catching 65 balls for 1,020 yards and 10 scores. Isabella was fully on the radar of NFL scouts as a senior last year. He had a standout game on a national stage against Georgia, and finished the year with 102 receptions for 1,698 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named to the Walter Camp All-American team, and was a finalist for the Biletnikoff award given to the nation's top receiver. John David Mercer-USA TODAY SportsIsabella capped off his collegiate career with a 7 catch, 79 yard, 1 touchdown outing in the Senior Bowl Youth Ryan Ramczyk Jersey , and was named the M.V.P. for the North squad. He then grabbed national attention with a dazzling performance at the NFL Scouting Combine in February. Isabella blazed a 4.31 in the 40, tying for the fastest mark among wideouts and the 3rd best among all participants. He also ran a 6.95 in the 3-cone drill and 4.15 in the 20-yd shuttle, both fifth among receivers. Nfl.com comparisonhillip Dorsett (Patriots)Photo by Scott Cunningham/Getty ImagesAndy Isabella is a fierce and tough competitor, ableto make plays in the middle of the field despite his size. He gets a quick release off the line to beat press coverage, and is equally effective from outside or the slot. He is both quick in short areas to gain separation, and blazing fast to beat coverage deep. Isabella makes sharp route cuts and adjustments at full speed, getting to open space almost immediately for his quarterback. He is lightning in the open field. Extremely elusive to defenders with the ball in his hands, he is difficult to hit and explodes through creases to create big plays. He is a playmaker on short passes, but is also a bonafide deep threat, able to excel through the entire route tree with both speed and precision. Isabella has small hands for a wideout, and his frame gives him a limited catch radius. His route running improved drastically during his college career, but must continue to evolve to be a success at the next level. Isabella is much more physical than his stature would suggest, but he would need to get stronger to hold up to the constant pounding at the NFL level. Dale Zanine-USA TODAY SportsAndy Isabella is projected to be drafted early on the draft's second day, possibly even sneaking into the first round. He adds value as a kick or punt returner, given his open field running skills. Isabella could be a deadly weapon for any offense. He may best be utilized as a motion receiver or in bunch formations initially, to better get him in open space. Isabella has the look of an every down weapon though, one that can be effective from anywhere in the offensive formation. He gets rapid separation on short patterns, and turns short gains into big plays with his running ability, as well as taking the top off a defense with his blazing speed. Isabella flew under the radar of major college recruiters, but may be very relevant very quickly upon his arrival to the NFL. They set their sites on Marcus Davenport from U.T.S.A. on draft night, and pulled off a trade with the Green Bay Packers to move up to the 14th overall pick to get him. Davenport had a solid rookie season Ryan Ramczyk Jersey Stitched , although slightly derailed due to a foot injury, finishing with 4.5 sacks, 12 quarterback hits, a forced fumble, and six tackles for loss. Davenport looks like a potential star, giving the Saints the edge presence opposite All-Pro end Cameron Jordan that will benefit the entire defense. New Orleans lost veteran end Alex Okafor to free agency this offseason though, raising some questions about depth at the position. Trey Hendrickson, a 3rd down draft pick in 2017, may be up to the task of providing a solid rotation. The Saints reportedly pursued Robert Quinn in an attempted trade with Miami though, and have met with former Lions end Ezekiel Ansah as well, telling us that perhaps they'd like to add at least another pass rushing presence on the edge. One player who could be available to them in this month's draft could fit that mold, as today we take a look at a prospect from what was at one time a collegiate football factory.Joe Jackson, DE (Miami Fla.)6'4275Jim Dedmon-USA TODAY SportsJackson was a three sport star at Gulliver Prep in Homestead, Fl., excelling in football, basketball, and track. Johnny Manziel could wind up as part of the Alliance of American Football. Or he could not.The new league is in a holding pattern regarding the quarterback who had his contract terminated this week by the CFL.“We don’t know Charles Haley Jersey Stitched ,” Alliance co-founder Charlie Ebersol said Friday. “We’re trying to get to the bottom of what happened in Canada.“We want to be a league of opportunity to the best available players, assuming they are available contractually, with a clean bill of health and a clean criminal record. We want them if they can play at our level. We have to have guys who play at a level that every single guy has a shot to get back to the NFL.“We look at everybody. If he is clean and clear, we will certainly talk to him about coming out for a workout.”The AAF enters its fourth weekend. The San Antonio Commanders would have the first shot at Manziel because he went to Texas A&M, and he would go through the league’s waiver process should the Commanders pass on him.Manziel’s contract with the Montreal Alouettes was terminated Wednesday. The league also told the eight other CFL clubs it wouldn’t register a contract for Manziel if anyone tried to sign the 2012 Heisman Trophy winner. The league said Manziel, a first-round draft pick by Cleveland in 2013 who soon flamed out of the NFL, breached an agreement that made him eligible for the CFL.Manziel was 2-6 as a starter last season, completing 106 of 165 passes (64.2 percent) for 1,290 yards with five TDs and seven interceptions. He also ran for 215 yards on 29 carries as Montreal (5-13) missed the CFL playoffs.FOX Fantasy AutoForm a Racing Team Youth DeMarcus Ware Jersey , Compete for PrizesPlay Now! We had RushMoore, for crying out loud (I regret nothing).Kellen Moore has since followed the path that almost every quarterback ever for America’s Team has taken, he’s become a coach for the team. Kellen is in fact the team’s offensive coordinator during his second year wearing a polo on the sidelines, Jason Garrett is obviously the team’s head coach, and Jon Kitna joined the staff this offseason to coach the quarterbacks. All we’re missing is Gary Hogeboom and we’ll have a real party. There are indeed three former quarterbacks above the team’s current three, six altogether working for one cause. While the ultimate goal is obviously to win games a lot of things go into all of that DeMarcus Ware Jersey Stitched , and one of the things we need to determine before the regular season hits is who is going to be backing up Dak Prescott.Jon Kitna didn’t go into a whole lot of detail when he discussed this issue with the mothership, but reality is that QB2 is going to be a big thing to watch through training camp and the preseason. Who should it be?The case for Cooper RushDespite entering his third season as a full-fledged member of the Cowboys roster, Cooper Rush isn’t even the most successful undrafted free agent ever to play quarterback for America’s Team (shout out Tony Romo obviously). Still though what Cooper has done over two years is worth being proud of as far as average backup quarterbacks go.Troy Taormina-USA TODAY SportsRush initially battled his way onto the team as an UDFA, so much so that he kind of forced Kellen Moore into the coaching profession that he now occupies. He has three career attempts in spot duty (one completion for two yards!) so he’s still raw as far as real-time experience goes.Still though, Cooper has been around the block. He does literally have twice the amount of experience that Mike White does in the NFL, but we’re talking about two years to one. 2019 is a contract year for Cooper, many have floated out the idea of trading him should another team be truly interested. The reality here is that White was drafted a year ago for a reason by the Cowboys, and that happened in spite of the rookie season that Cooper Rush put forth. The only true benefit to Cooper Rush is that he has a bit more experience than Mike White, but the overall debate is such an unknown that it’s hard to even measure this to a great degree. The case for Mike WhiteMike White hasn’t ever had a stellar preseason like Cooper did in 2017 Youth Dak Prescott Jersey , but he was drafted while Rush was not. White was a very promising prospect coming out of Western Kentucky last year and there are a lot of reasons to like his game. The case for White is simply that he’s a better prospect than Cooper Rush and that they’re both young enough that that particular detail still matters. He seemingly has more potential and is theoretically a push as far as the current talent goes which overall is a package that gives him the slight edge. Plus, White is under contract through 2021 which is two more seasons than Rush. That’s another pro in his column.White’s most impressive season at Western Kentucky was inarguably his 2016 campaign when he had a 67.3% completion percentage, over 4,300 yards through the air, and 37 passing touchdowns. All of those numbers dipped a bit the following season (touchdowns dropped by a margin of 11), but the fact remains that there’s a very good quarterback in there somewhere. We’re talking about a lone year of NFL knowledge separating Cooper Rush (2) and Mike White (1), and the guy they’re backing up only has their total number of years experience. The quarterback room is a very young one. Incredibly young. So much of who ultimately holds the clipboard next to Kellen Moore every Sunday is going to come down to training camp and preseason as mentioned, but who do you think it should be? State your case.

The Colts are in the middle of a rebuild Youth Al Woods Jersey , right? That has been the common refrain from fans and analysts alike all season. This is a team that is still a year or two away from really competing. There are just too many holes to truly run with the best teams in the NFL. The problem with that assessment is that no one bothered to tell the Colts. In a season where we were largely hoping to see marked improvement across the board and an Andrew Luck who could show that he was able to return to form after a protracted absence, we have gotten instead a well-coached team that looks like it could beat anyone in the NFL as the regular season comes to a close. In consecutive weeks the Colts have handled a Texans team that was on a 9-game win streak and a Cowboys team that was on a 5-game win streak. What is more impressive still is that rather than the old blueprint for this Colts team of letting Andrew Luck go to work and hoping that is enough, they’ve won in different ways. Troy Taormina-USA TODAY SportsAgainst the Texans it was a combination of strong defensive play and Luck taking deep shots to T.Y. Hilton. Yesterday against Dallas, it was a smothering defensive performance and a ground and pound game behind the formidable young offensive line that paved the way to a shutout win. Contributions from rookies like Darius Leonard and Tyquan Lewis as well as a young secondary made the Cowboys offense that had been rolling look totally impotent. So how good are they really? 1-5 seems like a distant memory for this team, who since that time have found their stride on defense as health and reps have given way to a very strong group. Since that time we’ve seen Darius Leonard sustaining a rookie season that could very likely end up with him as an All-Pro. As a unit the defensive line has hit their stride down the back stretch of this season, finding ways to repeatedly abuse opposing quarterbacks and making teams pay when they can’t get receivers open quickly. Complementing that effort perfectly has been the emergence of the secondary who are playing their best football of the season and have essentially shut down top receivers over the past two weeks. Photo by Joe Robbins/Getty ImagesWhat’s more, this team has taken on some of the best running backs in the NFL and proven itself up to the task of limiting them. Defensive coordinator Matt Eberflus seems to be hitting his stride in terms of play calling and has really got a feel for his team’s strengths and how best to use them. While there aren’t a plethora of game breakers across the group, this defense is loaded with guys who can make a play and who do their jobs well. That kind of balance can be huge in the playoffs. In all reality though, this isn’t a team that has to have a dominant defense. The reason? Andrew Luck. Luck has had a fantastic return season and has gotten better and his arm stronger as the season has progressed. Despite the loss of Jack Doyle, and no notable receivers to speak of behind T.Y. Hilton, Luck inside of Frank Reich’s scheme has been efficient, smart Al Woods Jersey Stitched , and dangerous. The offensive line since the return of Anthony Castonzo has been essentially a brick wall, allowing the second fewest sacks in the league through 15 weeks. They trail only the Saints, who have attempted 140 fewer passes than they have. That is just plain incredible. The job of this line has been ridiculous. With the renewed running game we saw yesterday, this offense only stands to get more deadly as the season goes on. Frank Reich has continued to improve, and if he is given a balanced attack that can open up the play action, this offense can be deadly. Despite a relative lack of skill position players on the offense, a combination of Reich’s play calling and Luck’s brilliance has enabled them to get players involved and be very successful. Eric Ebron, the presumed first round bust at tight end who was signed in the offseason, has been incredible, setting the franchise record for most touchdowns by a Colts tight end in a season, and has two games to go yet. Photo by Stacy Revere/Getty ImagesSo the question remains, how good is this team? At their best Youth Erik Swoope Jersey , as in the way we’ve seen them play the past couple weeks? They are good enough to beat any team in the NFL. Over the past few weeks as we’ve watched the white hot Saints, Rams, and Chiefs cool a bit from their ridiculous levels of the earlier parts of the season, the Colts have been the ones heating up. They got a gut check game against Jacksonville to remind them that there was no room to take a week off. Now they’ll face the next two weeks in “must-win” mode. Games against the Giants and Titans will be critical to getting into the playoffs, and they’ll need either Baltimore or Pittsburgh to drop one game to make that possible. Additionally, if the Texans were to somehow lose out and the Colts win out, they would take the division. Once in, this is a team that no one will want to face. Given their youth, it is certainly possible that they could show up flat and drop a game to anyone. However, they have proven over the past several weeks that they are not a team to be taken lightly, and through solid coaching, sound play Erik Swoope Jersey Stitched , and breakout performances from their young defense, this is a team that can absolutely contend for a Super Bowl this season. Regardless of how this season finishes, it is tough not to be excited about the possibilities for this young team as they grow and move forward. So what do you think? Is this team ready to contend now? If there was a draft in which the Indianapolis Colts were to really need another successful pull, this is it. The Colts sit at No. 26 -- at the moment -- and while they may not be in line for a top-10 talent, there is certainly some great options at the bottom of the first round. Today, we’ll take a look at the SB Nation mock draft which incorporates a representative from each of the NFL sites tasked with making their team’s selection. Our own Brett Mock takes his shot on the talent that he feels best fits the Colts’ needs for the long-term, as well as a talent-focused approach in hopes of making the team’s first pick shine going forward. We’ll look at each pick leading up to Brett’s decision, then analyze the pick from both an optimistic and pessimistic aspect. Additionally, the Colts’ 2019 schedule was revealed Wednesday night. We knew their opponents, but how those teams fall on their schedule Youth Christine Michael Sr Jersey , the team’s bye week, home and road games, and how the time slots fall will all be critical to the Colts’ success in the upcoming season. This could be a very interesting year with Frank Reich attempting to bypass any sophomore slump with his gameplanning, the roster dodging any serious injuries, meshing new additions with veterans and getting the most out of their youth as they did in 2018.We’ve got a lot to discuss, and the opinions are sure to lay at both ends of the spectrum for both of our main topics for today’s show. Please subscribe, rate and review the channel anywhere you listen to podcasts.Follow our hosts on Twitter: @MDanelySB | @HolderStephen | @TheStable_PodStampede Blue Podcast Links:Apple Podcasts | Stitcher | Megaphone | SB Colts Cast YT Channel | Google | Spotify

Cowboys show real life on offense as they edge Lions 26-24 It was a nail-biting Bob Lilly Jersey Stitched , heart-stopping game for the Dallas Cowboys, as they came from behind in the closing seconds to get a badly needed 26-24 win over the Detroit Lions. More importantly, so many of the Cowboys’ offensive problems that have been so riling the fan base seemed to have been successfully addressed - at least for the moment.Look, you can’t claim that one game against a team that also came in at 1-2 is real proof that things have been fixed. But you can’t ignore the positives of this contest, either. Just about every question about the offense had a good answer. The failure to get big plays had been one of the most glaring issues facing Dallas. In the first three games, they had only had three plays go for more than 20 yards. In the first half against the Lions, they had three plays go over 30 - and all came through the air. While two of them were short passes with big yards after the catch, Dak Prescott threw a 37 yard pass to Michael Gallup that served notice that he was not afraid to go deep. That was important not just for this game, but for the season going forward. Teams can’t just focus on bottling up the run game and guarding against the short pass. With the offense able to get chunk passing plays, even if just for a few during a game Youth Terrell Owens Jersey , the run game opens up and those short completions have a better chance of adding that YAC. That was obviously working for the Cowboys in this game, as Ezekiel Elliott broke a 41 yard run in the third quarter and had easily his best game of the season, eclipsing 200 yards in combined offense about midway through the fourth quarter. He also had a 38 yard touchdown reception and a 34 yard catch to set up the last second field goal attempt by Brett Maher. But even while it was clearly the most complete offensive performance of the year for the offense, they had a Lions team and quarterback Matthew Stafford that were coming at them hard. And the one offensive bugaboo that did rear its head was failing to complete drives, having to settle three times for Maher field goals. That kept Detroit in the game, especially as Stafford repeatedly completed passes that were nearly perfectly covered by Chidobe Awuzie. The Lions had apparently made the decision that they were going to attack Awuzie, and didn’t challenge Bryon Jones at all. They also had some effective runs at times, and Stafford came through again after Dallas had taken a 23-17 lead in the fourth. He overcame DeMarcus Lawrence’s third sack of the game, and used just 3:32 off the clock to move down the field and hit Golden Tate for a 38 yard touchdown pass. The Cowboys were playing short-handed in the secondary with Jeff Heath out with a shoulder injury. But Stafford was doing that all day, and Tate was over 100 yards for the game. It gave Detroit a one point lead Terrell Owens Jersey Stitched , and Dallas just 2:17 to try and get in position for at least a shot at a winning field goal. But Prescott came up with an ice-in-his-veins drive, Maher put his fourth attempt of the game, a 38 yarder, right down the middle, and the Cowboys got a very important win.It was somewhat ironic that in a game where the offense finally began to get on track, the defense was just not able to make plays so often. Still, they were able to keep things close enough for the dramatic win at the end. There were several interesting developments in this one. After a lot of talk about Brice Butler being active while Terrance Williams was not, Butler was a no-show. In addition to his 152 yards on 25 carries, Zeke was also the leading receiver with 88 yards and a touchdown on four catches. Geoff Swaim had three nice grabs, including a one yard touchdown throw Youth Jay Novacek Jersey , and Cole Beasley was the workhorse of the wide receiver group, catching four for 53 yards. And the Cowboys finally did something many have been calling for. They won the toss, and then deferred. It had a lot to do with the field position to start the second half, which helped them get the crucial second touchdown of the game. The Lions helped the Cowboys at times, making several penalties that extended Dallas drives and wiped out one sack of Prescott. They might have been egregious flags, since there were a lot of plays where it looked like a flag could have been thrown for pass interference, but the hankies stayed in the pockets.A scary moment came when Elliott was going for a fourth and one in the third quarter from the three yard line. He got the yardage needed, but was fighting for the touchdown when the ball popped straight up into the air. Fortunately, Blake Jarwin recovered it, and Prescott would hit Swaim for the TD on the next play. There were really only two negatives to take from this game Jay Novacek Jersey Stitched , The secondary was not at all good, and Heath’s injury is worrisome. And those three dries that could have been touchdowns but left four points on the field were disheartening. But the positives were far more numerous. The play-calling looked creative at times, and the execution by the players was vastly improved. No one made that big mistake on offense that could have caused a loss. Prescott was good if not great, finishing with 255 yard passing on 17 of 27 and two touchdowns and a 118.6 passer rating. And Elliott was a monster, accounting for 240 yards total offense and the touchdown. Add in that the offensive line looked noticeably better, with more protection for most of the game and some gaping holes for Zeke plus a spectacular downfield block by Joe Looney on the screen pass touchdown, and there was a lot of hope to take from this game. Now all they have to do is repeat it. But given all the good things they showed, that does not look like it is out of the question at all. On one hand it’s felt like forever since then and on the other hand these four months have somewhat flown by.We’re kind of at the midpoint of the Cowboys offseason as approximately four months from now we’ll be in the 2019 season. No big deal. Just wait four more months! In the spirit of looking back over what’s gone on over the last 150 or so days we decided it was time for some reflection. Which move that the team has made over the offseason made you the most pleased? Appropriately, here are four options.Signing DeMarcus Lawrence to a long-term extensionThe Cowboys waited longer than some would have liked but they ultimately landed their prized pass rusher to the richest deal in franchise history. That’s good. There were some people who weren’t so thrilled about Lawrence getting all the money in the world Youth Michael Irvin Jersey , but conventional wisdom is that you pay the guy who has performed for you and that certainly describes Tank.Dallas fortified the state of their defensive end group for the foreseeable future by locking down Lawrence. His presence on the outside is something that you simply cannot replicate which is why the Cowboys refused to even entertain the idea of letting him go.It feels like this will be a lot of people’s choice.Trading for Robert QuinnEnsuring that Tank Lawrence would be around for a long time was hardly the only move that the Cowboys made at defensive end this offseason. They were initially met with a bit of a speed bump when Randy Gregory was suspended, but they quickly did an about face and found someone to replace him in Robert Quinn. The Cowboys have been connected to Quinn in the past so seeing the two finally get together was more of a “finally!” sentiment for some people. There were definitely a few people who initially thought that his presence might mean Lawrence was in fact expendable, but the Cowboys decided that both was better than one.Honestly this move is the one that has the potential to be the biggest difference-maker when we look back at this team a year from now. Establishing a legitimate threat on the opposite side of one of the NFL’s most-feared pass rushers certainly will never hurt.Drafting Trysten Hill with their first pickThe Cowboys did not have a first-round selection thanks to trading it away for Amari Cooper, and it took forever for the 58th overall pick to finally arrive on the second day of the NFL Draft. There was a lot of thought that Dallas would take a safety if the right one fell to them, and considering Juan Thornhill and Taylor Rapp were both on the board it made sense to do it. Like most years though the first Dallas pick was fairly telegraphed and they took the player who they’d been most-connected to... defensive tackle Trysten Hill out of UCF.Hill’s selection is in a lot of ways about Rod Marinelli as Hill was his guy all along. This one is a bit more difficult to compare to the field given that we don’t know exactly who Hill will be in the NFL.We can only hope.NOT signing Earl Thomas in free agencyIt’s been a minute since we’ve discussed Earl Thomas here at BTB, last year any time he moved was seemingly in a direction towards America’s Team.Thomas was finally a free agent this offseason. If he and the Cowboys were ever going to be joined in holy football-mony it was seemingly going to be in 2019. That did not happen though as Thomas left for the Baltimore Ravens and the Cowboys settled for George Iloka.Earl Thomas signed a four-year, $55M deal with the Ravens that has $32M of it guaranteed. That is a lot of money to give to a safety and while Thomas’ reputation is what it is, his age was a point of concern for a lot of people. You have four options, BTB. Choose.

While the Indianapolis Colts will not finalize draft position until its run in the Playoffs ends Al Woods Jersey Stitched , the latest compensatory pick projections eliminate what could have been a seventh round pick for Frank Gore. Scouting ReportsHere is a scouting report from CBS Sports’ Dane Brugler, who projected Redwine as a fifth- or sixth-round selection:How he fits the BrownsCleveland can use some depth at the safety position, and given that general manager John Dorsey is more interested in coverage ability than tackling in the secondary, Redwine’s limitations in that part of the game are likely not a concern.React NowWhat do you think, Browns fans? Dorsey and company chose the versatile FS, Sheldrick Redwine Nate Orchard Jersey Stitched , out of “The U” with their 4th round pick last weekend. While the days of rookies being handed starting jobs are over, Redwine exudes confidence and has the abilities to come in and fill multiple roles for Coach Wilks both in coverage and against the run. He’s also going to have a home on special teams. While watching his Miami tape, Redwine’s versatility is evident. He’s lining up in single high as the FS, the next snap he’s down in the slot covering a TE or WR, then in the next he’s back in 2 high as the robber, then he’s down near the box blitzing off the edge. He plays with good speed, has good football instincts, and takes good angles which allows him to make plenty of plays in space in run support as well as coming off the edge in blitz packages. In coverage, you see his length in press situations, his range and his ability to flip his hips and turn and run smoothly while working from the slot. Although Redwine shows the ability to track and find the football in zone, he’s going to need to improve his ability to do so in man coverage if asked to roll down into the slot. His zone recognition and responsibilities will also need some work, but I imagine he’s going to get a lot of snaps alongside Randall Desmond Harrison Jersey Stitched , especially later in the season. Redwine is loaded with potential and his best football is ahead of him. He’s got the traits you want from the modern day FS / combo safety and I imagine by this time next season we see a player who’s put on some bulk, is playing and not thinking, and is ready to step into a much bigger role. Further, if he can bring his confidence and the “Turnover Chain” mentality to an already young, talented Cleveland secondary, First Energy Stadium may be audible from the Moon on Sundays. Strengths Versatility - can play all over, even single high Great speed and explosion for the position Blitz-ability Takes great angles in run support Comes to balance before contact If he squares you up, he brings the hammer Always seeks to knock out ball when wrapping upHas a knack for using his hands well and coming free from blockersWeaknessZone recognition“Undersized” at 190lbs Shows flashes but is inconsistent with his hands in the “see ball – get ball” situationsNeeds to work on getting his head around in man coverage while staying in cycle Needs to close out routes at the top and not give up cushionCan bring the hammer but also be dragged when he shoots at the feetAthletic TestingIn summary, when compared against all FS data available, Redwine is rated “elite” in every category except his size / height. All of this shows up on tape. When specifically comparing him to this year’s combine invitees, he finished top 6 in the 40 yard dash, top 3 in broad jump and top 4 in vertical.Lastly Youth E.J. Gaines Jersey , his 10 and 20 yard splits show his elite speed in short distances. Athletic Testing Film Room Instead of jamming this article full of singular clips, I’ve compiled all of the plays that I think will translate to the field for the Cleveland Browns. I elected to highlight his strengths within this film room because I wanted to focus on what the player can do vs what he can’t. Once we have some film from him in the preseason, we’ll have a chance to see how well he’s developing and can critique him accordingly.2017 Market Share: Total Tackles: 6% (59) Solo Tackles: 6.6% (37) Tackles for Loss: 2% (2.5) Int: 12% (2) PBU: 11% (6)2018 Market Share: Solo Tackles: 7.7% (35)Total Tackles: 7% (64)Tackles for Loss: 2.5% (3.5) Int: 19% (3)PBU: 4.6% (2) Sacks: 1% (3) Expectations 2019 - Redwine’s production data didn’t improve and was never elite in college, however I feel he continuously improved as a football player over the last couple of seasons and expect him to compete immediately on ST. From there and as he earns the trust of the coaching staff, I expect him to be rotated into sub-packages while competing with Murray and Burnett and providing depth for Randall if needed. When Wilks wants to deploy 3 safeties, or wants to play 2 high, or wants to blitz a DB or S (not just from the slot) I envision Redwine seeing plenty of snaps, especially as the season progresses. Assuming he continues to be strong vs the run, his ability to learn and improve in coverage will be what helps to separate him this season. 2020 and beyond – I think you’re looking a player the front office believes can develop into a long term starter at FS. I believe they saw a kid with lots of tools who can grow quickly and unlock his potential with NFL coaching / NFL training program.Ultimately, his development and growth in coverage will determine his success but I am excited about his traits. I know is production is lacking but based on the tape I believe this kid has a ton of upside and potential.

Ruby is requesting songs, hitting poses, playing with props — only showing her age with the occasional outburst for French fries. She’s used to the camera by now.In what seems like a 24/7 cycle, Charnas www.thetopsneaker.com , 31, has opened a window into her world where seemingly nothing is off-limits for her 1.5 million followers across her social media channels — kids included.“It’s about bringing something different to the table,” she said on what it takes to stand out. “I tell girls [who want to be influencers] to be so raw. Talk about personal things, life, things that you’re feeling, because there are so many people out there that can connect with that. People are attracted to realness, and brands are, too.”Charnas, who launched Something Navy as a fashion blog in 2009, has built a fan base that’s fiercely loyal and engaged. “What sets me apart is that a lot of these girls focus on beautiful images, the traveling, the extravagant trips, whereas I’m just at home hanging out in my apartment. It’s not that it’s more real; it’s just a different lifestyle,” she explained.“Arielle feels like a friend,” noted Eyal Baumel, CEO of digital media company Yoola. “She doesn’t feel like an advertisement on TV or a billboard.” Charnas’ approachable strategy has helped her cultivate strong brand partnerships, thanks in large part to her ability to turn likes into dollar signs. “She’s always had such a power to convert,” Something Navy brand director Tara Foley said. “That’s what she’s mastered.”The entrepreneur has been working with Bandier since 2014 after her mom bought her a pair of workout leggings from the retailer’s recently opened Hamptons store in New York. Charnas posted the look with her popular #snmirrormoment hashtag on Instagram — and it was an instant hit. “By the next week, every pair [of leggings] in stock was gone,” said co-founder Jennifer Bandier. “We didn’t know what happened.”Since then, Charnas has been a partner in the company, and she continues to promote the activewear product — whether it’s through dancing videos or shopping posts on Somethingnavy.com.Her 24-hour Instagram Stories have also proved to be viable, generating waitlists of over 200 people and same-day sellouts of specific items, according to Bandier.“She has spent the better part of a decade building trust with her followers, and they look to her as a shopping resource,” said James Nord, founder and CEO of influencer platform Fohr, on her ability to move product.Using the poll and questions features on Instagram Stories, the Something Navy fashion brand was created from customer feedback, according to the influencer. (Charnas is wearing a Johanna Ortiz dress and Something Navy sandals, which are launching in June.)Charnas’ 20 active brand and retail tie-ups, which are typically focused on sponsored posts, include Shopbop, Tod’s Cheap Yeezy , Net-A-Porter, Supergoop and more.It is the partnership with Nordstrom, however, that propelled her deeper into the fashion industry. In September 2017, Charnas teamed with the retailer’s in-house label Treasure and Bond for a capsule collection that reportedly sold $1 million in one day, with items quickly selling out and resurfacing on eBay. One year later, the Seattle-based company took advantage of Charnas’ appeal and launched the Something Navy standalone brand. (Other social media stars such as Chiara Ferragni, Blair Eadie, Leandra Medine Cohen and Aimee Song have also made forays into fashion during the past few years, to varying degrees of success.)“For me, this was very organic and natural. I’ve grown up shopping at Nordstrom. It was a no-brainer,” Charnas said. “But I remember the night before the launch, I was in bed crying, thinking, ‘What if no one buys anything?’”The September 2018 release caused the Nordstrom site to crash, which proved her commercial viability.“It blew away expectations,” said Jennifer Jackson Brown, EVP and president of Nordstrom Product Group. “What we saw was a partner who was really engaged with her audience. She’s a hard worker, and what she values is making sure she’s in direct communication with her followers.”Charnas’ instinct to crowdsource and include her fans in the design process has been crucial to the label’s success. “She was able to communicate with the customer while we were actually develop- ing the pieces. We were able to react accordingly and go into development with what the customer said they wanted. Anytime we can have the customer actually help [create] the product they are interested in buying is a better experience for them, and obviously it’s better for us,” Brown said.Since the debut, there have been five collection drops, featuring jackets and coats, swimwear, jewelry, shoes, loungewear, dresses and more. Charnas credits the line’s popularity to its accessibility.“[Shoppers] knew the price points were below $200,” she explained. “[And] lots of my followers were Nordstrom shoppers already. That alone really elevated it.”When it came to specifically building out the footwear assortment, designing on-trend shoes inspired by luxury labels she loves, such as The Row and Christian Louboutin, was also key.“Shoes are my life. That’s the one thing I consistently splurge on. It’s the most important part of an outfit to me,” Charnas said. “I love designer shoes, [but] a lot of my followers can’t afford to spend $1 Cheap Yeezy From China ,000, so when creating the line, I wanted to offer a great price point.”So far, the partnership has been mutually beneficial.Nordstrom tapped into a new customer base and connected with Charnas’ millennial-centric audience — a consumer segment that is crucial for many department stores. For Charnas, it has been an opportunity to immerse herself in the world of retail, learning about design, production, marketing — and most importantly, about her customers.“They love to see items styled more than one way. Even though I say it’s affordable, to the 23-year-old working in the city, a $150 dress is expensive, and they want to know they can wear it more than once. I’m trying to focus on that,” she said. Charnas often shows multiple styling options with Something Navy product on Insta- gram Stories ahead of launches. She also said she’s learned that her followers are interested in high-end fashion trends to some degree, but they still want something that’s wearable. The shoe collection, which is the second-largest category after ready-to-wear, focuses on day-to-night styles including flats, sandals, mules, boots and more.As she continues to build the business with her team, Charnas has another valuable sounding board: her father, Oded Nachmani, who owned the Coolwear label for 22 years. With that backing, Charnas is forging ahead to put her stamp on the next generation, too.In March, Something Navy expanded into the kids’ category, and Charnas’ daughters are seen modeling collections on Nordstrom.com.“People are always asking me what my kids are wearing,” she said on the launch. “Ruby loves it. She thinks she gets dressed just to get her photo taken. She knows I make clothing, and she likes to say she’s wearing Something Navy.”Charnas’ willingness to open up her children and personal life to the public has had its downfalls, however. Like many in the public eye, she’s exposed to social media trolls who criticize her children and parenting skills.Last month, Diet Prada, an Instagram account that calls out fashion copycats, accused Something Navy of knocking off a Prada headband and posted side-by-side product shots. The situation soon escalated into a public battle when the post started collecting comments and threats against Charnas’ family. She claimed that Diet Prada promotes a community of negativity, while the account defended its original post and said Charnas was deflecting.“Listen Cheap Yeezy 350 , we aren’t reinventing the wheel with the Something Navy brand. We are creating fast fashion, affordable clothing that girls want to wear every day,” she said on the matter. “I didn’t think I needed to explain myself there, but what I did fight back on was when people were saying my kids should commit suicide. The messages were so terrible. Over a headband. It was scary. After two days of being attacked, I reacted.”Charnas’ transparency and approachable demeanor has also blurred boundaries with fans.“Ruby doesn’t understand why everyone knows who she is. I don’t mind if [followers] say hi, but I don’t allow photos of [my kids],” she said. “When they try to get in a conversation or touch [my kids], I get nervous and uncomfortable.”As Charnas approaches the 10-year anniversary of Something Navy in August, it’s clear she has no plans to slow down. There are six more launches slated for the rest of the year with Nordstrom, Charnas said.At the same time, she’s scaling back on new brand partnerships to focus on expanding Something Navy at a time when some insiders say the influencer market is getting overheated.“Our attention span is getting shorter, and there is so much content out there,” Baumel said. “[Some influencers] will disappear. The smart ones will stay. The key is in the execution.”Charnas is hoping to stay ahead of the pack by evolving the Something Navy platform into its own contemporary lifestyle destination. She’s connecting with consumers on multiple fronts, including Somethingnavy.com, which offers stories from Charnas and her growing team of six employees, shoppable product and styling advice on go-to products. The Something Navy Instagram account, an extension of the website (and separate from Charnas), has 200,000-plus followers and its own brand partnerships.“This is a media platform. There’s a website, Instagram and other verticals,” Foley said. “Arielle doesn’t have to be the talent in those assets. We can’t use her for everything, so that’s why building the Something Navy channel is a priority.”And as social media continues to rapidly evolve, Charnas recognizes that Instagram’s relevance could fade over time. “I want to make sure our website offers everything we feel we offer on Instagram,” said Charnas, who aims to stay ahead of emerging tech trends. She acts as a strategic adviser for the development in new apps and invests in select startups across all industries. The red-hot beauty business is top of mind as she plots her next moves. With plans to create more produced video content, talks for a reality show are also in motion at Something Navy.In addition, Charnas is launching a podcast to help reach new audiences and increase engagement. “We are keeping it in the circle of our team, family and friends. We want to [zero] in on personal stories we talk about on the web- site,” she said. “We just have so many that we’ve yet to share.”Watch FN's interview with Arielle Charnas.Want more?6 Ways Brands Can Get the Most Out of Working With InfluencersJamie Chung On Being Asian-American in Entertainment, Influencing With a Purpose & ‘Standing Up for Those Who Don’t Have Voices’Why More Big-Name Retailers Are Taking the Leap with Bloggers and Instagram Influencers

The Carolina Panthers have added safety Dezmen Southward to their practice squad to replace Josh Hawkins Cam Newton Color Rush Jersey , who was activated to the 53-man roster last week when Da’Norris Searcy was placed on injured reserve.Southward has been with the Panthers on and off again since 2016. He was active for one game in 2017 and spent the rest of his time on the practice squad. The Panthers only have three active safeties on the 53-man roster (Mike Adams, Colin Jones, Rashaan Gaulden), so there’s a chance that Southward will be activated after the bye week just to give the Panthers more depth at the position. While I know that bringing in Southward is a good idea to add bodies to the room, there’s another way the Panthers could add not only depth, but quality at the safety position—sign Eric Reid. He’s available, he’s talented, he’s young and he fills a need. There’s no good reason to let a perfectly good solution to one of the defense’s biggest problems go to waste. Bring him in Marty Michael Palardy Jersey , even if it’s only a one-year deal, and fix the lack of safety depth before it becomes a real issue. When Eric Reid of the Carolina Panthers stepped over the sideline and onto the playing field to instigate a heated pregame confrontation with Malcolm Jenkins of the Philadelphia Eagles, the Panthers safety figuratively crossed an important line regarding civility and tolerance. Based on multiple reports including The New York Times and ESPN (please read these articles if you are not familiar with the details of the backstory), the root cause of the conflict is the two men disagree on the best approach to address matters of social injustice and inequality. Both Reid and Jenkins are passionate and thoughtful about these issues. And, as often happens with complex topics, they’ve reached different conclusions about the most appropriate solutions. That’s fine. Mature, thoughtful adults can rationally evaluate facts, assess options https://www.carolinapanthersfanshop.com/Sam-Mills-Jersey , arrive at very different conclusions, and still respectfully disagree with each other. It’s call civility. It’s called tolerance. It’s called diversity of thought. Rational people do not resort to physical confrontation and name-calling toward those with whom they intellectually disagree. These are precisely the behaviors Eric Reid demonstrated on Sunday. He allowed a philosophical disagreement to boil over into a heated confrontation to the point where he had to be physically restrained by his teammates. After the game, Reid resorted to labeling Jenkins as “corrupt”, a “sellout”, and a “neo-colonialist”.Remember, these are two men who ostensibly agree with each other about the need to raise awareness and find solutions to social injustice and inequality. The conflict is they’ve simply reached different conclusions about the best solutions. Based on his actions, Eric Reid is extremely intolerant toward Malcolm Jenkins’ sincere, well-reasoned opinions that happen to clash with his own. When debating issues such as these https://www.carolinapanthersfanshop.com/Christian-Mccaffrey-Jersey , more tolerance is needed, not less. Some will attempt to justify Eric Reid’s actions under the banner of “passion.” They will argue that he’s so invested in this cause that his behavior was justified, perhaps even necessary. This perspective is not only wrong but potentially dangerous. My assumption is almost every NFL player is passionate about social and political issues that are deeply personal to them. Some players may feel just as intensely as Eric Reid does about The Players’ Coalition - some opposing it and others supporting it - but of the 1,500-plus NFL players who take the field every Sunday only one has allowed this “passion” to explode into an angry and ugly confrontation. This is not passion. This is a lack of tolerance and civility. Malcolm Jenkins, on the other hand, behaved with thoughtfulness and respect when addressing this issue after the game. According to the Charlotte Observer, when speaking about Eric Reid and Colin Kaepernick, Jenkins said https://www.carolinapanthersfanshop.com/Daryl-Williams-Jersey , “You couldn’t pay me to say anything negative about them. I look around the league and I’m proud of guys that are active in their communities, that are using their voice as a platform like never before — including Colin and including Eric.” Jenkins, the NFL’s 2015 Walter Payton Man of the Year, was making these measured, thoughtful statements around the same time Reid was calling him a neo-colonialist.If Eric Reid wants a more tolerant, inclusive world, he should start by demonstrating these behaviors himself. It’s ironic, if not outright hypocritical https://www.carolinapanthersfanshop.com/Donte-Jackson-Jersey , that Reid’s approach is to demean, marginalize, and physically confront people with diverse opinions that differ from his. A more civil world isn’t grown by sowing the seeds of incivility. A more tolerant world isn’t forged by fanning the flames of intolerance. Eric Reid’s reckless actions don’t help solve complex problems, they only serve to make them worse.

Early in the second half https://www.jaguarsfanstore.com/Brad-Nortman-Jersey , with the game seemingly in hand thanks to a Herculean defensive effort by the Jacksonville Jaguars, the Pittsburgh Steelers got the ball at their 45-yard line — their best starting position of the day so far. It’s first down and Ben Roethlisberger drops back to pass. He sees Antonio Brown over the middle and awkwardly tries to force it in there. Myles Jack makes a hell of a play and picks the ball off.But wait. Penalty. 15 yards. Interception gone. First down Steelers.Let’s look at the replay on that roughing the passer penalty called by Calais Campbell. Yup, just as I suspected — absolutely garbage call. It’s such an egregiously bad call.“I try to play football the only way I know how to,” Campbell said after the game. “I guess I stayed there too long on him Donte Moncrief Color Rush Jersey , but I can’t control whether they’re going to throw a flag or not. I try my hardest to play the game the right way within the rules. Sometimes they’re going to call you for a penalty. That would have been great field position.”The Jaguars ended up with an interception a few plays later when Jalen Ramsey made as good a play on Antonio Brown as I’ve ever seen, but it’s still frustrating that the game is becoming nearly impossible for defenders to play. Last week the Jaguars couldn’t move the ball into the opponent’s red zone, as quarterback Blake Bortles and the offense looked like a casting call from “The Walking Dead”. It was a different story this afternoon, however Calais Campbell Jersey , as Bortles put the offense on his back for a majority of the game and led multiple scoring drives, propelling the Jaguars to a 31-12 win over the visiting New York Jets at TIAA Bank Field.Bortles passed for a career-high 388 yards and 2 touchdowns with a 121 quarterback rating, and wide receivers Donte Moncrief and Dede Westbrook each surpassed 100 yards receiving on the day. The highlight of the passing attack, being a 67 yard bomb for a touchdown from Bortles to Moncrief. The aerial attack was sorely needed https://www.jaguarsfanstore.com/Blake-Bortles-Jersey , as the Jaguars lost star running back Leonard Fournette, active for the first time since Week 1, to a reaggrevation of the same hamstring injury that kept him out the previous two weeks. The team also lost center Brandon Linder early to what was described as a back injury. The injury to Linder leaves the team very thinned out along the offensive line, with left tackle Cam Robinson already out for the season and guard AJ Cann and Jeremy Parnell already battling injuries A.J. Bouye Color Rush Jersey , though both played the entirety of the game. The defense shut down the rookie quarterback Sam Darnold and the Jets offense for the most part, which included a rare safety scored for the Jags when Marcell Dareus and Calais Campbell stuffed running back Isaiah Crowell in the end zone. Defensive end Yannick Ngakoue and tackle Malik Jackson attributed for two of the team’s five recorded sacks. The win moves the Jaguars to 3-1 for the first time since 2007, and now sets up a marquee match up next week with the Kansas City Chiefs.

And, as explained on Friday in connection with the tenuous status of coach Jason Garrett, Jones reserves the right to change his mind at any time, for any reason. And if/when (when) Jones changes his mind about Garrett, there’s a chance the next coach’s first order of business will be to get Jones to change his mind about Prescott.Every G.M. wants his own coach and every coach wants his own quarterback. For Dallas, the wild card will be which coach Jones, the G.M., will hire. If Jones hires a puppet Dallas Cowboys Hoodie , Prescott stays (unless Jones independently changes his mind about Prescott). If Jones hires a guy who will take over the team, the guy who takes over the team may decide that he wants his own quarterback. However it plays out, Prescott will enhance his standing by playing better. Former NFL coach Kevin Gilbride explained on Friday’s PFT Live that, although he thought that Prescott was getting too much praise after a strong rookie year in 2016, Gilbride thinks that Prescott is getting too much blame now. So if Prescott is in the middle, the question becomes whether he breaks one way or the other. There’s a chance he won’t break either way, which means that he may reside in that Ryan Tannehill-style football purgatory where the player hasn’t become a franchise quarterback, but where the team isn’t ready to assume the risk that he becomes a franchise quarterback for another team. For now Emmitt Smith Color Rush Jersey , Prescott is with the Cowboys. After this year, who knows? If we know anything about the things that Jones has said, there’s always a chance that he’ll eventually do the exact opposite.

GLENDALE Menelik Watson Jersey , Ariz. (AP) — The Arizona Cardinals can’t run the football. The Denver Broncos can’t stop the run.So maybe the ground game will be the deciding factor when these two struggling teams meet on Thursday night.“I’ll tell you this – and I’m a firm believer in this – stopping the run and running the football allows a team to control the game depending on who is doing that the best,” Broncos coach Vance Joseph said.Arizona (1-5) ranks dead last in the NFL in total offense and in rushing, averaging 64 yards per game on the ground. Denver (2-4) is last in rushing defense, allowing a whopping 161.3 yards per game.“We need to do a much better job up front as far as blocking, executing our assignments,” Cardinals coach Steve Wilks, then referring to running back David Johnson: “We need to move him around a little bit more. Try to find ways to get him out into space, different things right here to try to open it up some.”Denver has allowed 593 yards rushing in its last two games. Two of the opposing running backs, the New York Jets‘ Isaiah Crowell and the Los Angeles Rams‘ Todd Gurley, topped 200 yards rushing, something that’s never happened against the same team in NFL history.“We’ve had really two bad weeks, and it’s really with our nickel defense,” Joseph said. “We have to fix that and obviously play in more fronts and fix it that way.”The Cardinals aren’t good against the run, either. They rank 31st in the NFL, just ahead of Denver, giving up 151.2 yards per game. That could clear the way for the Broncos’ rookie running back tandem of Phillip Lindsay and Royce Freeman https://www.broncosfanstore.com/Darian-Stewart-Jersey , who have a combined four touchdowns and average 5.19 yards per carry. But Denver has relied more on the passing of Case Keenum than in the running game in recent weeks. The Cardinals will be without safety Tre Boston, who leads the team with three interceptions. He didn’t practice this week with shoulder and rib injuries. The Broncos have lost four straight, the latest a close home loss to the undefeated Rams. Arizona has beaten Denver only once in the 10-game history of the series. Here are some things to consider when the Broncos face the Cardinals:BEAT-UP LINESBoth teams are beaten up on the offensive line. The Broncos lost their best lineman, left guard Ronald Leary, to a torn Achilles tendon against the Rams.“You guys already know how good he is and what he brings to this team, and everyone in this locker room knows how important he is to our organization,” tackle Garett Bolles said. “Having someone like that go down is a tough situation and puts us in a tight spot.”Denver right tackle Jared Veldheer — a former Cardinal — will miss the game with a knee injury.Arizona left guard Mike Iupati is sidelined with a back injury that knocked him out of Sunday’s loss at Minnesota. Right guard Justin Pugh has his injured right hand in a cast-like wrap and plans to try to play Thursday.MIFFED MILLERVon Miller repeatedly promised that the Broncos would whoop the Cardinals. “I wouldn’t say it’s a must win,” Miller said. “We’re going to kick their (behind), though. Make sure you put that up there. We’re going to kick their (behind).”Miller and rookie Bradley Chubb had 4½ sacks between them last week, but Miller insisted they hadn’t unlocked some sort of pass rush puzzle.“No, we just got on the board,” Miller said. “And if we’re playing our best, I don’t think there’s anybody in the league that can block me and Bradley. … Especially not the Cardinals. They’re going to get our best on Thursday. They got to come with their best.”UP-TEMPOThe Cardinals’ offense, under rookie quarterback Josh Rosen, showed some signs of life with an up-tempo game late against the Vikings. Expect to see more of it against Denver.“It was very effective for us. It’s something that we’ve got to definitely consider,” Wilks said. “It’s part of his comfort zone Max Garcia Color Rush Jersey , based off college and the things he did back there. We’ve got to do everything we can right now to get this offense going in the right direction.”ELWAY’S CRITICISMBroncos general manager John Elway reprised his “soft” criticism he also used last year when discussing Denver’s run defense this week.Elway suggested the Broncos must realize that “we’re fighting for our lives” Thursday night.Asked if he interpreted that as fighting for his job, Joseph said, “Absolutely. And that’s every coach in this league every week. If you don’t feel that way, you’re missing something. If we were 5-1, I would feel that way. That doesn’t motivate me. I’m already motivated to win games and to fix our football team.”MCCOY’S HEATFor the second year in a row, Mike McCoy is feeling heat as an offensive coordinator.McCoy was fired by Joseph after 10 games with the Broncos last season. Now he’s facing severe criticism as offensive coordinator of the Cardinals.“We’re preparing like any other week,” McCoy said. “Our objective every week is to go out and win the next game that you’re playing. That’s our focus.” So that’s what it’s like to see a team overcome adversity. Most of us thought we had a better chance spotting Bigfoot, but, somehow, it happened. Vance Joseph and the Denver Broncos brought back that winning feeling with their pulsating 23-22 last-second win over the Los Angeles Chargers (7-3). In the process, the Broncos (4-6) won their first road game in the AFC West since Dec. 2015, and won their first game in LA since 1987. Winners Broncos Country Hat tip to the orange-clad fans in the stands on Sunday. You guys played a big role in your team picking up the win.Phillip Lindsay The Broncos’ undrafted rookie running back is always a blast to watch. In a season that is anything but, Lindsay is one of the few bright spots and reason to feel some hope. His two touchdowns are the latest additions to an impressive rookie season. For the game, Lindsay finished with 11 carries for 79 yards and two touchdowns, as well as four catches for 27 yards. The coolest thing Lindsay did? He brought back the Mile High Salute after his second touchdown. Is there any doubt he should be the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year?Bradley Chubb Speaking of special rookie seasons, Denver’s pass rusher is now on track to break the NFL record for sacks by a rookie. The record is 14 set by Jevon Kearse in 1999. After a sack of Philip Rivers Bradley Chubb Jersey , Chubb sits at nine on the season and is six away from the record. For the game, Chubb had seven tackles, four solo, two for loss, one sack and two quarterback hits. Also, Dan Fouts had the line of the game in the first quarter when he said, “Chubb was in (Rivers&rsquo face.”Royce Freeman To keep the rookie theme going, it was nice to see Freeman back on the field and respond the way he did. The one-two punch of Lindsay and Freeman, hopefully, will be dynamic for the Broncos for years to come. Freeman had seven rushes for 23 yards, including his three-yard touchdown run.Von Miller Denver’s outside linebacker got his 16th sack of Rivers, recorded his 100th of his NFL career, and became the third player to record 10 sacks in seven of his first eight seasons. Miller also got a huge interception that set up Freeman’s touchdown. Brandon McManus After missing a game-winner against the Houston Texans, the Broncos kicker redeemed himself with a 34-yard field goal to give his team the win. Broncos offensive line No sacks allowed and no penalties. That’s a helluva game for any offensive line, but for one that is ravaged by injuries and new starters, that’s a major win. To do it against a defense like the Chargers have Veteran Medal

Speed is the name of the game as the Bears add a blazer to their offensive stable."In the seventh round of the NFL Draft Marcus Cooper Jersey , it’s complete pandemonium. Anything goes once the blue chip prospects are off the board. After already adding likely 2019 starter David Montgomery, the Bears have drafted former Florida Atlantic University running back Kerrith Whyte Jr. at No. 222 overall in the seventh round. A home-run hitter and speedster of the highest order, let’s grade the Bears’ selection of Whyte Jr. at No. 222 overall. Grade: CThere should be no questions about Whyte Jr. the player. He’s an explosive talent who is a downright headache to bring down one-on-one. The only reason he gets a C or an “average” grade is because the Bears already have a crowded running back room with Montgomery, Tarik Cohen, and Mike Davis. The only way I see Whyte Jr. contributing, at least in 2019, is if he finds a role on special teams. For the life of me https://www.thebearsfanshop.com/Kyle-Fuller-Jersey , I could never grade out an initial third phase player with stellar marks. There aren’t enough special teams snaps in a game to denote it as particularly impactful. That aside, Whyte Jr. is a joy to take in. Even while acting as the secondary option to starter and former teammate Devin Singletary, Whyte Jr. still carved out a solid role with Florida Atlantic over the course of his three-year college career. At 5-foot-10, 200 pounds, he helped form quite the compact, effective, and explosive backfield duo. In some circles Bryce Callahan Color Rush Jersey , he could be called a better NFL talent — not college — than Singletary and no one would bat an eye lash. Known as a blazer, Whyte Jr. scored 10 touchdowns for Florida Atlantic last season. He averaged 6.5 yards per carry and, while on a small sample size of 10 receptions, averaged 16 yards a catch. Every time he touched the ball it was a chunk play. I challenge you to watch any single part of Whyte Jr.’s film and think you would have a chance to even brush him in the open field. You wouldn’t because he’s the definition of a backfield blur. Most seventh-round NFL draft picks are long shots and Whyte Jr. will likely be no different. While the Bears like his athletic profile enough use to draft capital on him, that doesn’t mean he has any less of tall odds to make their final 53-man roster. If he’s going to find playing time as a running back, he’ll have to supplant Davis — by far the highest-paid Bears running back. Talent should always win out first but remember that money talks. If Whyte Jr. can’t leap over Davis, there could be a place for him on the third phase as a returner. Any late-round draft selection who has made a name for himself had to start on special teams somewhere. However Josh Bellamy Jersey , the Terrell Davis-type is rare and it’s foolish to project what the Bears have there in late April. The Bears have a compelling, deep, and overhauled running back room at Halas Hall. How their backfield shakes out will be one of the more important storylines of the summer. It’s up to Whyte Jr. to make sure he maintains his agency and has a say in the narrative. NEW ORLEANS (AP) — Drew Brees grinned New Orleans Saints Kaden Elliss Jersey , paused as if searching for the right words, and even let out the beginnings of a laugh. The Saints have made 40-point outings look routine lately, and the record-setting quarterback is trying to enjoy it without showing a hint of complacency.“It’s a lot of points, but we have a high standard for ourselves,” Brees said. “You’re still not satisfied because you know you could have done a little bit better — but the end result is good.”Brees passed for 363 yards and four touchdowns, and the Saints won their ninth straight with a 48-7 demolition of Philadelphia on Sunday that marked the Eagles‘ worst loss by far since they won last season’s Super Bowl.In fact, it was the worst loss by a reigning Super Bowl champion.“I haven’t gotten my (butt) kicked like that in a long time Womens Kaden Elliss 2019 Jersey ,” Eagles defensive end Chris Long said.Brees completed 22 of 30 passes and did not turn over the ball, giving him 25 TD passes and only one interception this season. Brees’ fourth touchdown seemed to encapsulate New Orleans’ audacious approach to the game. He hit running back Alvin Kamara in stride down the right sideline for a 37 yards on a fourth-and-7 play that gave the Saints (9-1) a 45-7 lead early in the fourth quarter.“It’s hard to stop us,” Kamara said.Receiver Michael Thomas said the Eagles were “just in the way, next team up. We just had to do what we had to do, regardless.”Brees’ other touchdown passes went for 3 yards to Austin Carr, 15 yards to rookie Tre’Quan Smith and 23 yards to Thomas. Smith finished with 10 catches for 157 yards, while Thomas’ four catches for 92 yards made him the first receiver in Saints history to surpass 1 New Orleans Saints Wil Lutz Jersey ,000 yards receiving in each of his first three seasons.Mark Ingram rushed 16 times for 103 yards, including touchdowns of 14 yards and 1 yard. Kamara added 71 yards to help New Orleans finish with 546 total yards and score at least 40 for the sixth time this season.Meanwhile, New Orleans’ defense produced a second straight dominant showing after largely stifling Cincinnati the previous week. The Saints now have outscored their past two opponents 99-21 combined, is not easy to do in a league known for competitive balance.“It blows my mind, too, trust me,” said Saints defensive tackle Sheldon Rankins New Orleans Saints Michael Hoomanawanui Jersey , who had one of three sacks on Carson Wentz. “That just speaks volumes not only to the type of talent we have on this team but how locked in everybody is. I think everybody knows how special we can be and everyone knows the end goal. If everybody here isn’t thinking Super Bowl then they’re in the wrong locker room.”DESCENDING EAGLESWentz was intercepted three times — once by Marshon Lattimore and twice by Chris Banjo — and finished with 156 yards on 19-of-33 passing.Time will tell if the lopsided loss marked the beginning of the end of the Eagles’ title defense. Philadelphia (4-6) remained two games behind Washington (6-4) for first place in the NFC East, but more injuries befell its already depleted lineup. The Eagles offered virtually no resistance to New Orleans and looked thoroughly outclassed by the surging Saints.Rookie running back Josh Adams rushed for a 28-yard TD that pulled the Eagles within 17-7 in the second quarter, but the Saints responded with a Smith’s TD on which the receiver held onto a hard throw over the middle while being sandwiched by two defenders. That made it 24-7 at halftime and the game was not competitive after that.“The product we’re putting out there is not up to our standards,” Wentz said. “I’m not playing up to my standards, but we know the talent we have.”ANOTHER RECORDTwice this season, Brees has thrown for four TDs in a game without an interception, giving him an NFL-record 23 such performances in his career. His latest put him one ahead of New England’s Tom Brady.INJURIESEagles: Center Jason Kelce hurt his left elbow in the first quarter and was replaced by Stefen Wisniewski. Safety Avonte Maddox left with a knee injury on New Orleans’ second possession. Defensive back Rasul Douglas had to be helped off the field with a left leg injury in the third quarter. Long snapper Rick Lovato was taken from the game to be evaluated for a concussion.Saints: Right guard Larry Warford left to be evaluated for a concussion in the third quarter and was replaced by Cameron Tom.UP NEXTEagles: Host the New York Giants on Sunday.Saints: Host Atlanta on Thursday night. NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A suburban New Orleans sheriff's department says Saints defensive tackle David Onyemata has been cited for misdemeanor possession of marijuana.A statement released on Thursday by the Jefferson Parish Sherriff's office says a narcotics agent received a tip that marijuana products would be at Onyemata's apartment in the New Orleans suburb of River Ridge. The agent secured a warrant and searched the residence on Jan. 29 Cheap Michael Hoomanawanui Youth Jersey , finding marijuana, THC oil, edible marijuana products and hemp powder. The sheriff's statement says Onyemata cooperated with investigators and received summons. Based on NFL rules, Onyemata could receive a league-issued suspension as long as four games.Saints spokesman Doug Miller says the club is refraining from commenting at this time.
