What some are calling the NFL’s Game of the Year already has made huge headlines by being moved out of Mexico City because of poor playing conditions. Chiefs-Rams is back in Los Angeles Marcus Davenport Jersey White , in prime time and, if it lives up to its billing, could be a wild, high-scoring affair.Regardless of who wins, both clubs figure to be in the Super Bowl mix. And because of the extracurriculars associated with Monday night’s meeting, perhaps it won’t be a fair measurement which is the superior team.Who cares? For a mid-November match, fans can’t ask for much better than a pair of 9-1 teams with powerhouse offenses and stars galore — leading MVP contenders Todd Gurley of Los Angeles and Patrick Mahomes of Kansas City for starters — going at it as the only show in town. No matter which town. It’s the first meeting in NFL history this late in a season between two teams averaging 33 points per game.“He’s made some plays that you sit back and you can’t help but just say, ‘Wow, what a great play,'” Rams coach Sean McVay says of Mahomes, who leads the NFL in yards passing (3,150). Rams QB Jared Goff is second (3,134).Mahomes set a Chiefs record with an NFL-best 31st TD pass of the season last week. Len Dawson had held that KC record since 1964.Gurley paces the NFL in scoring (108 points), yards rushing (988), carries (198), yards from scrimmage (1,390) and touchdowns (17). He has scored a touchdown in 13 consecutive games, extending his own franchise record.“He is a heck of a player. A great player,” Chiefs coach Andy Reid says when asked how to slow Gurley. “You have to be disciplined. They’re a disciplined offense, so you have to be disciplined from a defensive standpoint. Then practice that way and then you go play.”OK, guys, go play. Let America watch what could be a classic. The weekend began Thursday night with Seattle’s 27-24 home victory over Green Bay. Russell Wilson threw for 225 yards and his 15-yard touchdown pass to Ed Dickson with 5:08 left was the difference. Seattle (5-5) snapped a two-game losing streak. Green Bay dropped to 4-5-1.Off this week are New England (7-3) Womens Marcus Davenport Jersey , the New York Jets (3-7), Miami (5-5), Cleveland (3-6-1), San Francisco (2-8) and Buffalo (3-7).MINNESOTA (5-3-1) at CHICAGO (6-3)We soon will find out if the Bears are for real. They are on top of the NFC North, now face the defending division winners, then in a ridiculously short turnaround from Sunday night, they play the early Thanksgiving Day game at Detroit. They also have the Rams and Packers on the road in December. Two of the NFL’s stingiest and most physical defenses should be main factors Sunday.Minnesota has allowed an average of only 252.5 yards over last four games, winning three. It did so missing some starters. Safety Harrison Smith likes seeing the Bears: Smith has four interceptions and six passes defended in 10 career games vs. Chicago.Chicago dropped 10 in a row against the NFC North before beating Detroit last Sunday. It leads the NFL with 16 interceptions, and ranks second with 24 takeaways.HOUSTON (6-3) at WASHINGTON (6-3)Two also-rans of 2017 now leading their divisions. The Texans have won six in a row and come off a bye. Key personnel such as DE J.J. Watt and QB Deshaun Watson were injured last year and are now playing at peak efficiency. If Watson gets time to throw — Houston has surrendered 30 sacks — DeAndre Hopkins will be the biggest challenge to cover. He has four games with 10-plus catches, 100-plus yards and a touchdown through the air. That’s most in the league since the start of 2017, and Hopkins has five TD catches over the past four games. .Washington has showed some balance on offense, but the defense has been a major factor in its strong year. It has forced a turnover in 13 consecutive games, the NFL’s longest active streak.TENNESSEE (5-4) at INDIANAPOLIS (4-5)Suddenly, there’s a race in the AFC South, and the Colts could get even more involved with a fourth consecutive victory. But the Titans, coming off their best game by far in an upset of the Patriots, have won six straight within the division.Of course, Andrew Luck was not in the lineup for any of those; Luck is 9-0 in starts against Tennessee.“I’m aware of it,” Luck says. “But what’s happened has happened, and good, bad or ugly, it doesn’t really matter.”The Titans have the league’s No. 1 scoring defense Tre'Quan Smith Jersey White , allowing 16.8 points a game, and have yielded a league-low 16 touchdowns.PHILADELPHIA (4-5) at NEW ORLEANS (8-1)New Orleans looks like the NFL’s top team right now, and the Eagles don’t resemble their title-winning squad of last season.Injuries are damaging Philly’s defense at a really bad time. A banged-up secondary takes on Drew Brees and his assortment of helpers. The Saints have scored at least 40 points in five games this season, the third team in NFL history to score 40 in five of the first nine. Brees is completing 77.1 percent of his passes, has thrown for 21 TDs with one interception, and has a 123.8 passer rating.Michael Thomas is tied for the NFL lead with 78 catches, ranks second with 950 yards, while Alvin Kamara and Mark Ingram form a formidable and versatile backfield.PITTSBURGH (6-2-1) at JACKSONVILLE (3-6)The Steelers will be wise to look forward and not back at their last encounter with the Jaguars. Jacksonville beat Pittsburgh twice last season, including a 45-42 playoff shocker at Heinz Field.Thinking revenge would be foolish because the Steelers are on a roll. Well, so are the Jags: Pittsburgh has won five in a row, Jacksonville has dropped that many consecutively.Steelers running back James Conner has not allowed the team to regret the contract impasse that has led to Le’Veon Bell sitting out the season. Conner is the eighth player in team history with at least 10 rushing touchdowns, leads the AFC in rushing, and is expected to play after being placed in concussion protocol following last week’s win over Carolina.CINCINNATI (5-4) at BALTIMORE (4-5)Cincinnati brings a historically leaky defense to Baltimore, which might be without regular quarterback Joe Flacco (hip). That would mean either first-round pick Lamar Jackson or veteran Robert Griffin III will try to further expose that Bengals unit. The Bengals have won eight of the last 10 in the series, but they fired first-year defensive coordinator Teryl Austin after a 51-14 loss to the Saints, the second-most points allowed in franchise history. They became the first team in the Super Bowl era to give up 500 yards in three straight games and are on pace to give up an NFL-record 7,273 yards.Head coach Marvin Lewis takes over defensive coordinator duties, too.DALLAS (4-5) at ATLANTA (4-5)The Falcons appeared ready to take a role in the playoff race with three successive wins. Then, they put forth a stinker at Cleveland.Meanwhile, the Cowboys seemed headed toward irrelevance before they went into Philadelphia and outplayed the Super Bowl champions.Dallas will want to run with Zeke Elliott, who’s second in the NFL in rushing behind Gurley after gaining 151 yards against the Eagles. Atlanta will want to throw: Matt Ryan has seven games with a QB rating over 100 and six games with more than 300 yards passing, while Julio Jones became the fastest player in NFL history with more than 10 Womens Alvin Kamara Jersey ,000 yards receiving.CAROLINA (6-3) at DETROIT (3-6)Both teams would like to forget last week’s poor performances.Carolina leads this infrequent series 6-2 and remains in good position in the wild-card race with a victory. Detroit needs an immediate turnaround to get into contention. If this is close, expect Cam Newton and Co. to win. Since 2013, the Panthers are 26-14 in games decided by seven points or fewer. They have won five straight games decided by three or fewer.Newton has thrown at least two TD passes in eight straight games, the longest streak in franchise history.DENVER (3-6) at LOS ANGELES CHARGERS (7-2)While the Rams grab the headlines in LA, the Chargers keep grabbing victories. They could get help in the AFC West if their neighbors knock off KC, too.The Chargers are a league-best 13-3 since Week 9 of last season. Their six-game winning streak marks the 11th time since the merger they had a streak of six or more. Philip Rivers has thrown for two or more TDs in nine straight games. Only five quarterbacks in league history have a string of 10 or more games.TAMPA BAY (3-6) at NEW YORK GIANTS (2-7)Saturday’s Notre Dame-Syracuse matchup in the New York area figures to be more fun than this, although the Bucs usually pile up the yards in passing offense and the Giants come off a stirring Eli Manning-led comeback win.Tampa has lost three in row and six of seven, while New York broke a five-game slide on Monday night. Bucs wideouts Mike Evans (13 catches for 217 yards and a TD in two games) and DeSean Jackson (five touchdowns in the last six games) have feasted on the Giants’ defense.OAKLAND (1-8) at ARIZONA (2-7)The lowest-ranked teams in the AP Pro32 face off with the Cardinals coming off a solid effort at Kansas City. The Raiders? They seem to have fallen into the Black Hole, outscored 54-9 in the last two games.Cardinals star Larry Fitzgerald needs eight receptions to surpass Jerry Rice for the most catches for one team. METAIRIE, La. (AP) — Saints third-string quarterback Taysom Hill never envisioned launching his body across the path of a punted ball when he arrived in New Orleans last season to serve as an understudy to record-setting passer Drew Brees.Yet his momentum-changing blocked punt in last week’s comeback victory at Tampa Bay became just his latest highlight that has nothing to do with dropping back from the line of scrimmage and throwing a football. It has become increasingly apparent this season that the 6-foot-2, 220-pound Hill has the potential to become the NFL’s ultimate utility player. And if doing so improves the Saints’ Super Bowl odds, Hill’s game.“Standing on the sideline with a hat on and a clip board and a sweat shirt is not as fun as doing what I’m doing,” Hill said. The 28-year-old Hill’s embrace of his unconventional role comes with risk, particularly in light of his background. He had major injuries in four of his five seasons at BYU: a knee injury, a bone fracture in his leg, a foot fracture and a hyper-extended elbow. But at this point, Hill doesn’t see himself playing special teams throughout his career.“I thought that I would come in and develop as a quarterback and have the opportunity to compete to play at quarterback,” Hill said. “That’s what I’m still hopeful for.”In the meantime, Hill has made a value judgment. He loves playing, so he’s willing to make his skill set available in ways he might not have previously considered.“I’m grateful that the coaches here had a vision for me and then created opportunities,” Hill said. “That’s unique and I’m grateful for the coaching staff here that had a vision, but then they took a chance Michael Thomas Saints Jersey , right? Because if things don’t go well, they look silly.”Instead, Hill has already made enough plays on special teams that Saints coach Sean Payton figures Hill, if he wanted to, could make a sustained NFL career out of doing just that, much like Steve Tasker did with Buffalo or Fred McAfee did in New Orleans.“Yet, the difference is, I think he can be a quarterback. I think that’s the plan,” Payton said. “The plus is he has that athleticism, size, and speed. He can do a lot of things.“He has very good savvy,” Payton continued. “He’s catching. He’s rushing. He’s tackling. He’s running. He’s throwing. I mean, he’s just a good football player.”Hill has five special teams tackles this season. He’s returned a kickoff for 47 yards and helped convert two fake punts into first downs as an upback, one running and one throwing. He has even lined up at tight end.At times, Payton inserts Hill at quarterback in place of Brees for read-option runs, one of which went for a 1-yard touchdown. Hill also completed a 44-yard pass to Michael Thomas at Minnesota.Hill said that if he does get his shot to play quarterback more regularly, he wants to be more of a traditional passer, albeit one who can run when prudent.“I’d much rather throw for a touchdown than run for one,” Hill said. “But I think there are elements of my game that make it difficult on a defense and I think it would be dumb not to take advantage of that.”In high school in Idaho, Hill was a standout football player and basketball player. On the court, his size, strength and jumping ability — he can dunk — led coaches to play him at power forward. He was a strong rebounder Marcus Davenport Jersey , and with his background as a quarterback, had little trouble passing out of double-teams.He had small college basketball offers but initially committed to play football at Stanford before deciding that BYU would suit him better after he completed a Mormon mission. He began his NFL career as an undrafted free agent with Green Bay last season. When he was waived at the end of training camp, Payton signed Hill to New Orleans’ active roster. Late last season, the Saints dabbled with putting Hill on special teams to make use of his athleticism, and he quickly started being the first down the field and making tackles.“He’s so good at it you’re not going to have him just sitting there holding the clipboard,” Saints quarterbacks coach Joe Lombardi said. “He’s got to go play.”Running back Alvin Kamara said Hill has earned respect across the Saints’ locker room.“He does it all. He’s a tough player,” Kamara said. “A lot of things he does, that’s not things that one person does. You usually get a couple of people to do all the things he does.”In New Orleans, Hill has captured the imagination of many fans. The Superdome crowd rumbles with anticipation when he takes the field.“Obviously, I’m blessed athletically to create opportunities like this, but I think the moral of my story that can relate to anyone is you can overcome a lot in life if you’re willing to spend the time, energy and effort,” Hill began. And then there’s the part about being adventurous enough to seize unanticipated opportunities.“That comes from doing something you really love, right? And I love football,” Hill said. “I love competing and that’s why it was an easy answer for me when they asked me to do different things. So if you’re doing something you love, you might experience setbacks, but overall you’re going to be willing to work at whatever it is or adjust on the fly to whatever situation comes up.”

The Dolphins have given Minkah Fitzpatrick permission to seek a trade. The Cowboys could use an upgrade at safety. So have the Cowboys had conversations with the Dolphins the past 24 hours?Cowboys executive vice president Stephen Jones answered Cheap Kavon Frazier Youth Jersey , “Yeah,” when asked that question on 105.3 The Fan on Friday but wouldn’t comment on specifics and didn’t use Fitzpatrick’s name. Jones added that he talks to other teams all the time.“We always . . . when you hear rumors, you get calls,” Jones said on his radio show, via Jon Machota of TheAthletic.com. “You have conversations between myself Dallas Cowboys Jourdan Lewis Jersey , Jerry [Jones], Will [McClay]. We’re always checking around and seeing what’s going on. We have a pretty steady diet of visiting with other teams. We’re always trying to improve our roster.”Fitzpatrick is represented by Joel Segal, who also represents Cowboys players Amari Cooper and Taco Charlton. The Cowboys have worked on a contract extension for Cooper, and they could deal Charlton, a first-round pick in 2017 who was a healthy scratch last week. The Dolphins made Fitzpatrick the 11th overall choice in 2018. They reportedly are seeking a first-round pick in return for Fitzpatrick. The Cowboys gave up their 2019 first-round pick last October in a trade with the Raiders for Cooper. The Cowboys host the Dolphins in Week Three. The Pittsburgh Steelers bolstered their return game on Monday Cheap Jourdan Lewis Youth Jersey , acquiring wide receiver Ryan Switzer from the Oakland Raiders.Pittsburgh sent a fifth-round pick in the 2019 draft to the Raiders for Switzer and Oakland's sixth-round pick in 2019.The Steelers have spent most of training camp experimenting at punt returner, with little success. Rookie wide receivers Justin Thomas and Quadree Henderson and safety Cameron Sutton have all been given opportunities to return kicks during the preseason but have made a minimal impact.Switzer, a fourth-round pick by Dallas in 2017, averaged 8.8 yards per return last season for the Cowboys. He returned a punt 83 yards for a touchdown in a victory over Washington. Dallas also used Switzer sparingly at wide receiver. He caught six passes for 41 yards in limited action as a rookie before being traded to Oakland in April for defensive end Jihad Ward.Oakland coach Jon Gruden said Monday that the trade means Dwayne Harris will start the season as Oakland's kick and punt returner. Switzer became expendable after falling behind other receivers on Oakland's depth chart. He'll get a chance for a fresh start in Pittsburgh and could be on the field when the Steelers finish up the preseason against Carolina on Thursday."He's a duel return man, a slot receiver of note Amari Cooper Jersey White ," Steelers coach Mike Tomlin said of Switzer, who grew up in Charleston, West Virginia, about four hours south of Pittsburgh. "He's a guy we evaluated prior to the (2017) draft ... We'll put him in the mix with these guys and hopefully get him ready to go."

The Indianapolis Colts proved everything they needed to in their 21-7 Wild Card victory over the Houston Texans. They were matched up against the top rushing defense and more than handled their business with a 200-yard rushing game featuring Marlon Mack dissecting their front seven. The Colts also turned the Texans into a one-dimensional offense and took away some of their key playmakers via great play by Pierre Desir Youth Devin Funchess Jersey , Kenny Moore, Darius Leonard and several more.Additionally, the Colts offensive line did it again by protecting Andrew Luck, and paving the way for the running game, and they spread the ball around effectively making the Texans’ defense ineffective for much of the game. This Saturday, however Youth Chester Rogers Jersey , the Colts face a completely different animal as they travel to Arrowhead to take on the league’s highest scoring offense, and will be unlikely to see an offense that fails to find room within their zone defense the way Houston did. Patrick Mahomes led the league in touchdown passes, and Luck was second in the league, but it’ll likely be the defenses that are forced to find a way to put the game in their favor. The Chiefs’ defense, statistically, is flat out terrible Chester Rogers Jersey Stitched , but is the Colts squad good enough to stop the Chiefs high-powered scoring attack?Today Matt Danely takes a look at multiple comparisons to determine which situations may give the Colts an advantage, as well as those in which the Colts must win to come away victorious. And if he does, what kind of wide receiver would Dorsey prefer? A big one who can run Jarvis Landry Jersey White , naturally, as Dorsey explained at the NFL Scouting Combine, according to clevelandbrowns.com:There are a pair of players that fit the first criteria that the Browns’ website called out in particular, so Browns fans may want to keep an eye on them. The first is Iowa State redshirt junior Hakeem Butler, who is 6-foot-5 and 227 pounds, according to NFL.com. (Mayfield would clearly have no trouble finding Butler on the field.) Butler was an All-Big 12 second-team selection in 2018, finishing the year with 60 receptions for 1,318 yards and nine touchdowns. He showed steady progress during his time with the Cyclones Nick Chubb Jersey White , going from nine catches as a redshirt freshman to his output last season.Butler has the size, but there are still questions about his hands and his speed, as NFL Network’s Daniel Jeremiah told the Des Moines Register:The other wide receiver is Arizona State’s N’Keal Harry, who is 6-foot-2 and 228 pounds. According to his draft profile at NFL.com, Harry:Just like Butler, there are questions about Harry’s speed. But Charlie Fisher, Arizona State’s wide receivers coach, told si.com that is not an issue:The wide receivers go through their field drills on Saturday and https://www.brownslockerroom.com/authentic-baker-mayfield-jersey , thanks to their size, Browns fans, as well as Dorsey, will have no trouble spotting Butler or Harry. But team owners Jimmy and Dee Haslam did recently share that the new uniforms have been designed with a “nothing fancy” mindset, and embrace “the team’s rich tradition and its unique distinction as the only NFL franchise with orange and brown as its two primary colors,” according to the team’s website. That is welcome news to Browns fans who have had to deal with the current mess of a uniform the team has been wearing since 2015. From numbers that can’t be read on the brown jerseys, to the nonsensical use of the team name down the pants legs Womens Jarvis Landry Jersey , the Browns have spent the past few seasons looking more like a Mountain West Conference team than one with Super Bowl aspirations. The Haslams have repeatedly made mistakes and promised to learn from those mistakes ever since buying the team in 2012. They seem to finally be following that promise when it comes to getting out of the way of general manager John Dorsey as he rebuilds the roster. Hopefully, when it comes to the uniforms, the Haslams stick to their promise of “nothing fancy” so that the Browns don’t look like clowns as they ascend into the NFL’s elite.

NEW ORLEANS (AP) — An egregious mistake by the refs overshadowed the Los Angeles Rams‘ moment of triumph.Too bad. This is one amazing L.A. Story. For all the debate stirred by a blatant penalty that wasn’t called in the closing minutes of the NFC championship game New Orleans Saints Kaden Elliss Jersey , the Rams thoroughly earned their 26-23 overtime victory over the New Orleans Saints on Sunday.Playing in one of the NFL’s most intimidating road environments, the Rams rallied from an early 13-0 deficit. With the clock winding down, they drove for a tying field goal. And, finally, they came up with a huge interception in overtime to set up Greg Zuerlein’s 57-yard field goal — the longest kick ever to win a playoff game.“We get to play in the Super Bowl,” quarterback Jared Goff said, “and we deserve it.”No doubt.Just three seasons after moving back to Southern California from St. Louis, the Rams completed a remarkable rise to prominence, led by their 32-year-old wunderkind of a coach, Sean McVay Womens Kaden Elliss 2019 Jersey , and the youngest QB ever to win an NFC title. The next stop is Atlanta, where they’ll face the five-time champion New England Patriots in the Feb. 3 Super Bowl.We have a lot of respect for the Saints, but there was an expectation, there was a belief that we were coming in here not to just compete with them but to win the football game,” McVay said. “We knew it was going to be a great challenge, but the guys stayed the course.’Of course, this game will long be remembered for the call that wasn’t on Drew Brees‘ pass to Tommylee Lewis inside the 5-yard line.Beaten badly on the play, Rams cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman leveled Lewis long before the ball arrived — with a helmet-to-helmet hit, no less. Everyone at the Superdome knew it was a penalty. Everyone, that is New Orleans Saints Wil Lutz Jersey , except two officials who were staring right at it.Their flags stayed tucked in their pockets, forcing the Saints to settle for Wil Lutz’s 31-yard field goal that made it 23-20 with 1:41 left in regulation.“Came to the sideline, looked at the football gods and was like, ‘Thank you,'” Robey-Coleman said. “I got away with one tonight.”After the no-call, Goff had enough time to get the Rams in position for Zuerlein’s tying field goal, a 48-yarder with 15 seconds remaining.New Orleans won the coin toss and got the ball first in overtime. But, with Dante Fowler Jr. in his face and striking his arm, Brees fluttered up a pass that was picked off by John Johnson III, who was able to hang on to the interception while stumbling backward. Johnson hopped up and celebrated by doing the “Choppa Style” dance popularized by New Orleans rapper Choppa New Orleans Saints Michael Hoomanawanui Jersey , whose namesake song had become a Saints’ rallying cry.The Rams weren’t able to do much offensively, but it didn’t matter. Zuerlein booted through the winning field goal from just inside midfield with plenty of room to spare.“Whether we go through some adversity or we experience some success, we do not let that change us or affect us,” Zuerlein said “We just keep on keeping on.”It was the first home playoff loss for the Saints with Brees and coach Sean Payton, who had been 6-0 at the Superdome since their pairing began in 2006.This one really hurt.If the pass interference penalty had been called, the Saints could’ve run most of the time off the clock to set up a winning field goal from chip-shot range. A replay was shown over and over on the Superdome’s giant video boards, prompting some fans to toss trash on the field.“Being that it happened right there in front of the person who would be the one to make the call, and everyone in the stands saw it, everyone watching at home on TV saw it, that makes it even more difficult to take Cheap Michael Hoomanawanui Youth Jersey ,” Brees said. “Because of this, I’m sure there will be a lot of talk about reviewing penalties, perhaps game-changing penalties.”The Rams (15-3) will be appearing in its first Super Bowl since the 2001 season, when the “Greatest Show on Turf” was still in St. Louis. The team hasn’t won an NFL title in Los Angeles since 1951, well before the Super Bowl era. The team moved to St. Louis in 1995, only to return to L.A. two decades later. It was another bitter end for the Saints, who lost the previous season in the divisional round on the “Minnesota Miracle” — the Vikings‘ long touchdown pass on the final play of the game. This time, New Orleans (14-4) couldn’t hang on to the lead or overcome that brutal officiating mistake.Payton said he talked to the NFL office after the game and was told that Robey-Coleman should have been flagged.“Not only was it interference, it was helmet to helmet,” the coach said. “I don’t know if there was ever a more obvious pass interference.” Whats the facts?"WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections InterviewsNew Orleans Saints SatireWho Dat HistoryCanal Street Chronicles TutorialGrading the 2018 Safeties | Did Glenn ask Saints to block Bengals? | ESPN says let Ingram walk[Podcast]New Cheap Josh Hill Youth Jersey ,4commentsWhats the facts?CSTShareTweetShareShareGrading the 2018 Safeties | Did Glenn ask Saints to block Bengals? | ESPN says let Ingram walk[Podcast]John David Mercer-USA TODAY SportsWas Aaron Glenn actually the one to block the Bengals inquiry, but had the Saints do it to avoid burning a bridge?Offseason is in full swing, and today’s big topic is the Bengals getting shut down in their attempts to interview Saints’ secondary coach Aaron Glenn. There are currently 90 players on the roster, of course, and that means at least 37 of them won’t find a place on the team come September (although some will probably be on the practice squad). And there will inevitably be some churn between now and then as well. One place where there will be several names that will not wear the Star this fall is wide receiver. The Cowboys currently have twelve under contract. While “competition” is a Jason Garrett mantra, obviously not all players are at the same risk of being released. And there is the question of just how many the team will carry on the 53-man roster. Given the hoped-for new approach under offensive coordinator Kellen Moore, it is likely they will go a bit heavy here. There is one interesting twist this year in the addition of running back Tony Pollard. He is fully capable of lining up as a receiver, and could be very dangerous in that role. Given that, just how many should they carry? It would seem likely that six would be a good number, with Pollard a de factoseventh receiver for game-planning and inactive decisions. So who is in, who is out, and where are the hottest competitions likely to be? Glad you asked. The locksAmari Cooper, Micheal Gallup, and Randall Cobb are the starters, barring you-know-what that begins with “i”. Cooper and Gallup were both very effective once the former joined the team in mid-2018, and Cobb’s experience will keep him on the roster as the starting slot receiver.Coming back from injuryCedrick Wilson was generating a good bit of excitement before he went down in training camp last year. Allen Hurns was not greatly productive before his ugly injury in the playoff win over the Seattle Seahawks, but the coaches like him. And Tavon Austin missed most of the year. Wilson and Hurns will have to show they are fully recovered to have a chance. But Wilson is a very tall receiver at 6-5, and if he is healthy, he might carve out a role as a “jump ball” or red zone specialist. Austin faces a more problematical situation since the team did not use him very effectively last year when he was available. By “team” I mean “Scott Linehan” and Moore may well have a better idea how to utilize Austin’s speed. However, Pollard essentially duplicates Austin’s skill set, and also is a very good running back as well. It brings Austin’s value to the team into question. The UDFA speedstersThe Cowboys have something of a tradition of finding successful wide receivers in the UDFA ranks, with Miles Austin and Cole Beasley perhaps the two most notable in recent memory. This year, they have Jon’Vea Johnson and Jalen Guyton vying to be the next undrafted success story - and both of them are real burners. They each posted sub-4.4 40 times in their pro days White Ezekiel Elliott Jersey , which is what likely led to them getting a chance with Dallas. Johnson has already gotten some rave reviews from position coach Sanjay Lal, and both will probably get plenty of opportunities in preseason as the team protects the three starters. There is a good chance both will have a future with the Cowboys, although it may involve the practice squad, but don’t bet against one of them being on the roster when the games count. What can Brown do for you?Noah Brown is a returning player from last year’s roster, and that counts for something with the Cowboys. But he, like Austin, is vulnerable to a challenge, especially if the team is looking to find a way to keep Johnson or Guyton. It puts Brown clearly on the bubble. He needs to step up to defend his roster spot. The restThat leaves three players who have to be considered long shots. Lance Lenoir has hung around for a couple of years, mostly on the practice squad, but has been on the 53-man roster for a total of eight games. He has flashed some in preseason, but has yet to make an impact on the field. A fan favorite in the past, he is going to have to show some substance to his game to have any shot this year.If there is a real wild card in this group, it is Devin Smith. A former second-round pick of the New York Jets, he suffered two ACL injuries that ended his time with them. What is intriguing and even exciting about him is his stellar college career. In four years he had over 2,500 yards receiving and 30 touchdowns, with an eye-popping 20.7 yards per reception. He was also a track star, so he fits right in with the apparent move to increase the speed of the wide receiving group. Should he finally realize some of the promise of that collegiate performance, he could be a surprise roster addition.Reggie Davis is the last name in the wide receiver room, and he is the most likely to just be a camp body. He spend a brief time on the Philadelphia Eagles practice squad last year after being signed and cut by a couple of other teams. A predictionObviously, we don’t even know what we don’t know about most of these players right now, but here is my guess for who will make it out of camp:Amari CooperMichael GallupRandall CobbAllen HurnsCedrick WilsonJon’Vea JohnsonHurns and Wilson have a leg up because of their time with the team, but could well be derailed if their recovery is not complete. If one of them falters, Noah Brown or Tavon Austin will probably get back on the roster Ezekiel Elliott Jersey 2019 , again with a boost from their time with the team. Guyton and Smith will probably be in the conversation in camp, but will get squeezed out by the numbers. I think Lenoir also comes up short, and don’t think Davis has much chance at all. That is my best guess. The good news is that this looks like a talented and mostly very fast group. It should give Moore and Dak Prescott a lot to work with. Could Williams or Ford make the roster as the 4th running back?" NFL GeneralTraining CampColts AnalysisColts RB Battle: Spencer Ware injury opens door for Jonathan Williams Matt Slauson Jersey Stitched , Keith FordNew,18commentsCould Williams or Ford make the roster as the 4th running back?EDTShare this storyShare this on FacebookShare this on TwitterShareAll sharing optionsShareAll sharing options for:Colts RB Battle: Spencer Ware injury opens door for Jonathan Williams, Keith FordTwitterFacebookRedditPocketFlipboardEmailPhoto by Wesley Hitt/Getty ImagesThe Colts have a clear top three in their running back group with Marlon Mack, Nyheim Hines, and Jordan Wilkins. Mack is the every down back, Hines is the versatile back who can play some receiver, and Wilkins is a valued young player who could be a starter one day. The missing element they need in the backfield, though, is a power back who can pick up tough yards and protect Andrew Luck in the passing game. The Colts tried multiple backs on the roster last year to fill this role, using players such as Christine Michael and Robert Turbin before finally settling for Jonathan Williams to close out the year. GM Chris Ballard was clearly not settling at that position this offseason, though, as he signed former Kansas City Chiefs running back Spencer Ware. Unfortunately, Ware is set to have ankle surgery and reportedly will be waived off of the reserve/PUP list according to many reports. With Ware out, the attention again turns back to Williams and newcomer Keith Ford, who have both had great camps so far.In today’s article, I will be looking at both of these young running backs and talking about what each could bring to the team as that fourth running back. Ballard and Reich seem set to have four backs on this roster and one of these two players could be the clear answer.
Jonathan WilliamsSize:5’11” 220 poundsPro Day Measureables: 40 Time: 4.59 / Bench Press: 16 reps / Short Shuttle: 4.29 seconds / 3-Cone: 6.97 secondsCareer Stats:30 carries for 94 yards and one touchdown in only 14 active games in his four year career. Film/Highights:Williams was very productive in college despite fighting through injuries in his time at Arkansas. Here he shows off a lot of the traits that evaluators loved in his college game. Soft hands out of the backfield and then he is able to turn it up field, fight through contact Womens Malik Hooker Jersey , and find the endzone. More recently, he was able to put together some good film with the Bills before being cut in favor of other backs. Here, he shows off great vision to find the cut back lane, and then he fights through contact for extra yards at the end of the play. On these two clips, you can see the ability that Williams could bring to the position. He is a good pass catcher and a tough runner and that is exactly what the Colts are looking for. Overview: Williams may not be the flashiest player, but he fills exactly what the Colts want out of their fourth running back. He is a tough runner who has the ability to pick up tough yards, and he has soft, reliable hands out of the backfield. Colts.com writer Jake Arthur also told me on the Colt 45 podcast this past week that Williams has looked great in pass protection all offseason in camp, as well. When you take into account the fact that the Colts kept him on the roster for most of last year, and that GM Chris Ballard raves about him whenever he gets the chance, I think Williams has the inside track to make the roster as the fourth running back. If he continues his great camp and puts together a good preseason, he should be a lock to make the roster.
Keith FordSize:5’10” 220 poundsPro Day Measureables: 40 Time: 4.54 / Bench Press: 19 reps / Vertical Jump: 39 inches / Broad Jump: 126 inches / Short Shuttle: 4.41 seconds / 3-Cone: 7.09 secondsCareer Stats:21 carries for 79 yards and zero touchdown in only three active games in his one year career.Film/Highights:Ford was a player I really liked out of Texas A&M years ago. He is a big running back who runs with a ton of power and strength. The biggest aspect of his game, though, is his burst and acceleration. He is similar to Jonathan Williams in a lot of ways, but if the Colts want a more explosive big back rather than an agile one, Ford would be a better option. Overview:Ford isn’t a big name, he went undrafted in the 2018 NFL Draft. He was a talented player in college who shined in committee work for both Oklahoma and Texas A&M. He may not be the most agile or quick runner Womens Peyton Manning Jersey , but he is a low to the ground, powerful runner who is insanely explosive as well. Williams may have the inside edge for the final spot, but with a good preseason, Ford could beat him out. Unlike Williams, Ford is more explosive and powerful while also being a bit better in pass protection. It will certainly be interesting to see how this battle plays out in the preseason, as both of these young runners compete for a final roster spot. Should the Colt’s pursue Za’Darius Smith, one of the few edge rushers to probably make it onto the market?"WhiteFanposts Fanshots Colts StoriesScheduleRosterStatsYahoo Colts NewsYahoo Colts Team PageYahoo Colts ReportYahoo Colts Depth ChartYahoo Colts TransactionsYahoo Colts PhotosShop About Masthead Community Guidelines StubHub ✕NFL Free AgencyPossible Colts free agent target: Za’Darius SmithNew,12commentsShould the Colt’s pursue Za’Darius Smith, one of the few edge rushers to probably make it onto the market?ESTShareTweetShareSharePossible Colts free agent target: Za’Darius SmithFrom his first days in office, Chris Ballard has been transparent about his approach to free agency, “eventually what you would like to happen is you are paying your own guys.” With big paydays awaiting some Colts over the next couple of years, it makes sense to start saving up some cash.Players like Anthony Castonzo (‘19), Ryan Kelly (‘19 but there is 5th-year clause), Eric Ebron(‘19), T.Y. Hilton (‘20) and Andrew Luck (‘21) are gonna require some major cash if the Colts choose to bring them back. However, with $105 million in the bank, the Colts have more than enough to re-sign their own Cheap Nate Hairston Youth Jersey , and maybe make a splash in the free agent market. With that in mind, let’s take a look at a possible target.Za’Darius SmithSmith finished the season with 8.5 sacks and 45 tackles. He might scare some away due to the low numbers and the fact that his second-highest sack count was 5.5, during his rookie year. However, with 24 QB hits (equal to Demarcus Lawrence), his theoretical sack count is around 11, much higher than his recorded amount. The Ravens have to pay talented defensive players like Pro Bowler C.J. Mosley and legend Terrell Suggs. The national media seems to have realized that the Colts want nothing to do with Le’Veon Bell, and it seems like the Ravens are the new favorite to land him. With that in mind, the Colts certainly could offer Smith a hefty paycheck and pry him to Indy, but I’m not sure if they should. A few days ago Zach Hicks broke down Smith’s tape in a much more in depth piece. You should read it here. To borrow from his analysis, Smith rushed very well from the inside (against both run and pass) and very poorly from the outside to go along with a lot of missed tackles. He is, in short, a younger Denico Autry with a little more upside. Overall, no sense paying $15-17 million dollars for something the Colts already have. The probability of signing with the Colts: Average, he could go to the Colts or he could go elsewhere. I think he may like to head to Indy just because of the surplus of money, but I am unsure if the feeling is mutual.

As NFL quarterbacks go Cleveland Browns Andraez Williams Jersey , Kyler Murray is as little as they get. But that may not stop Murray from becoming the NFL’s next big thing. Whether he does lands at storyline No. 15 as the 2019 season appraoches. From the moment he chose football over baseball, Murray captured the imagination of scouts, coaches, players, and fans. In this golden age of quarterbacking Womens Andraez Williams 2019 Jersey , Patrick Mahomes and Baker Mayfield became the darlings of the league in 2018, a year after Deshaun Watson was all the rage, until he suffered a torn ACL.Despite his (lack of) size, Murray brings an explosiveness that the league hasn’t seen since Mike Vick, but possibly with a better set of passing skills. While Murray may not be the next Mahomes Cleveland Browns Andraez Williams Jersey , Murray doesn’t need to be a 50-touchdown MVP to justify Arizona’s faith in him.Ulimately, it was an easy analysis. The Cardinals have struggled with young quarterbacks in recent years (decades), getting their best performances from veterans like Kurt Warner and Carson Palmer. Murray could be their first born-and-raised franchise quarterback since moving to the desert 31 years ago.Sure, there’s a chance he’ll be a bust. That he won’t be able to stay healthy once he’s hit hard by NFL-caliber defensive players. That his speed and other skills won’t translate to the pro game. The risk is worth it. And it’s far better to roll the dice on Murray and get it wrong than to pass on him and have him become a star player for someone else.If he becomes a star for the Cardinals, the NFC West becomes very interesting Cheap Andraez Williams Youth Jersey , perhaps before long the best division in the league. Gregg Williams won a Super Bowl in New Orleans. He also was suspended for a year for organizing a bounty scheme with the Saints.Williams Womens Drew Brees Jersey , elevated from assistant to head coach of the Cleveland Browns when Hue Jackson was fired Monday, has quite the resume for his work building aggressive and usually successful defenses. That resume, though, is tainted by what went down in New Orleans.Williams, now 60, helped the Saints win their only Super Bowl as defensive coordinator from 2009-11. His unit, led by Will Smith, Jonathan Vilma and Darren Sharper, gave up lots of yards and often was bailed out by a top-ranked offense. What that unit — and every one Williams handled whether as a D-coordinator or as head coach in Buffalo — had was an attacking style. Unfortunately Michael Thomas Jersey White , according to an NFL investigation, that led to head-hunting for money. And to one-year suspensions in 2012 for Williams and his boss, Saints coach Sean Payton. The NFL found that Williams put in place while in New Orleans a rewards system for hits on opponents with intent to injure, including increased payments for tackles that knocked an opposing player out of a game, called “cart-offs.” If the Saints’ defense knew of an opponent’s previous or lingering injury, they would target it.Injuring such stars as Brett Favre and Aaron Rodgers drew “special” rewards, the league found. Some players also said Williams did the same when he worked for the Bills and Redskins; others refuted that.“I want to coach defenses that are respected, and they’re respected when they’re feared,” Williams said while working for the Saints. “None of the things we do is cheap. They’re aggressive. What we do is https://www.thesaintslockerroom.com/authentic-tre_quan-smith-jersey , we’re going to play hard, and here’s the deal, we’re not going to apologize. I’m not going to apologize for how hard our guys play and I’m not going to apologize if they’re trying to lay the wood on everybody. When the other team is worried about protecting themselves over protecting the ball, we all like that a lot better.”The league suspension was handed down in March 2012 after Williams had been hired to oversee the St. Louis Rams’ defense. He subsequently was released by the Rams and sat out that year.Tennessee brought him in for the 2013 season after the NFL ban was lifted, and he moved to the Rams in 2014. Williams was let go at the end of 2016 and joined the Browns under Jackson last year. While in Buffalo, Williams had a 17-31 record in charge from 2001-03.Wherever he has worked, Williams has been known for his defensive acumen and for his willingness to speak far more freely than most NFL coaches. That style generally has made him popular with his players — many of the Saints defended his approach when he was there — but his forthrightness also has led to harsh feelings with others. With offensive coordinator Todd Haley also fired Monday, Williams was the only remaining assistant with NFL head coaching experience. Jerry Jones is trying to remain supportive of a Dallas Cowboys offense that has shown only fleeting moments of promise through three weeks of the season.Eight points in the opener and 13 points on Sunday won't be enough to get victories on the road no matter how well the Cowboys play on defense."I do think that we do have the talent and I do think that we have the coaching that can get us on the right track offensively Taco Charlton Jersey ," Jones said. "We will get on the right track offensively, I'm sure."The Cowboys offensive issues — specifically in the passing game — were exposed again in their 24-13 loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Sunday.Dak Prescott threw for 168 yards and a touchdown, but most of those came in the fourth quarter when the Cowboys were trying to rally. He averaged just 4.9 yards per pass attempt and the Cowboys were rarely able to push the ball downfield against Seattle's secondary. The longest pass play was a 20-yarder to tight end Geoff Swaim. The longest catch by a wide receiver was an 18-yarder to Cole Beasley."We did not do a good enough job of staying ahead of the chains, controlling the line of scrimmage in the passing game like we would have wanted to," Dallas coach Jason Garrett said. "We did a better job of rallying at the end but certainly not good enough."The Cowboys trailed 24-6 before finally finding the end zone on Prescott's shovel pass to Tavon Austin midway through the fourth quarter. It was the one bit of innovation in an otherwise stagnant offensive game plan that should have yielded more success considering how well Elliott was doing on the ground.Elliott rushed for 127 yards on just 16 carries, but even his longest run of the game ended up in disaster for the Cowboys when he fumbled deep in Seattle's end, getting hit from behind by safety Bradley McDougald."Our defense started out really great, and we had them on the field too long and they got worn down. We only scored three points in the first half. We've got to do better than that," Elliott said.Seattle found a formula that worked, getting 102 yards rushing from Chris Carson Womens Demarcus Lawrence Jersey , two touchdown passes from Russell Wilson and two interceptions from unhappy safety Earl Thomas. Thomas, who wants a contract extension or a trade from Seattle, even bowed to the Cowboys sideline after his second interception with 3:09 remaining ended any hopes of a rally by Dallas.Thomas even acknowledged rumors floating around that he could be traded soon and Sunday could have been his last game in Seattle."I don't know if it was but I had a damn good time and I'll go out like that if I have to," Thomas said. Here's what else to know from both teams moving to 1-2 for the season:UNDER PROTECTION: Wilson had the cleanest pocket to throw from at any point this season. Seattle's offensive line that had allowed 12 sacks in the first two weeks neutralized the Dallas pass rush and allowed Wilson time to find receivers. Wilson was sacked only twice, one of those when he was tackled at the line of scrimmage. For his part, Wilson made smart, decisive decisions on his throws and didn't show the hesitations that had thrown off the timing of Seattle's pass game the first two weeks.INJURY CONCERN: The Cowboys had one significant injury concern to come out of the loss when linebacker Sean Lee aggravated an already troublesome hamstring injury and missed most of the second half. Lee had 11 tackles before being forced to the sideline because of the injury. He had been rotating with rookie Leighton Vander Esch, who also finished with 11 tackles."It feels like the same deal but I have to get (evaluated) and see where I'm at," Lee said.CENTURY MARK: Carson's 102 yards rushing and his touchdown were major milestones for a Seattle run game that's been absent for more than a season.Carson was the first running back to top 100 yards in the regular season since Thomas Rawls rushed for 106 yards in December 2016 against Carolina. Carson's TD run was the first by a Seahawks running back since J.D. McKissic found the end zone on a 31-yard run in Week 4 of the 2017 season. Seattle went 14 games without a running back finding the end zone until Carson bulled his way in with 12:54 remaining.FUN WITH NUMBERS: For the first time since 2010, Dallas did not start 2-1 through three games. The Cowboys started 0-2 in 2010 Leighton Vander Esch Jersey White , won their third game, and then dropped five straight. Dallas has also lost three straight to the Seahawks. Jason Witten heard the criticisms of the Monday Night Football broadcasts last season. Unlike many players who try to say they don’t read or listen to what is being said about them, Witten said clearly that he absolutely heard the feedback of the ESPN broadcasts as he paired with Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland.“Nobody鈥檚 immune to it, regardless of how much mental toughness you have,” Witten said on Dual Threat with Ryen Russillo. “That was one of the things I kind of prided myself on as a player for 15 years. I could handle the big stage. … Certainly, I took a beating. I鈥檓 aware of it. To say like, 鈥楬ey, you didn鈥檛 pay attention to it.鈥?Bullsh–. Everybody’s aware and if you’re not, you’re lying to me to say you’re just immune to it. Probably everybody outside of Bill Belichick and a handful of others that just don’t really care what’s being said.”Witten elected to come out of retirement and return to the Cowboys for a 16th season this spring. He reaffirmed that his decision to return to football had nothing to do with the criticism levied against their broadcast crew. Instead, he just really wanted to play football again. However Dak Prescott Jersey White , that doesn’t make the criticism sting any less in retrospect, especially when he believed the grouping had made significant strides throughout the season.“The toughest part was you finish calling a game and whether you’re flying back that night or going back to the hotel I would check my texts and it was like they found out I was sick or something or somebody died in my family,” Witten said. “‘Hey, praying for you. Keep your head up. Don’t worry about it.’ I’m like my gosh it wasn’t that bad, you know. … I wasn’t immune to it. It sucked going through it at times. Once the narrative kind of got formed, I knew that it was going to be a long-game approach.“And I thought as the season unfolded when Boog moved up to the booth I thought we had two or three really good games and we were starting to kind of hit our stride. I didn’t make this decision off of the noise and the criticism. That wasn’t why I made this decision it was really just I want to play. The scoreboard matters and I want to be a part of that.”

When will the Colts be practicing at Grand Park this summer? I have no idea what I’m doing."Since today is Friday, there are football games each of the next two days! It feels weird typing that after the Super Bowl. Most of you have cut your cable off because, seriously, who wants to watch Golden State win another title? Most of the NCAA teams are pretty good, but not great, and outside of Duke and Zion Williamson, what are we watching? Nothing. We’re seriously all just killing time until at least the NFL Draft if not Week 1. Come on, April 26th!I’ve posted a couple articles about The Alliance of American Football to mild response, and now that Valentine’s Day is past Skai Moore Jersey Stitched , I need your attention here. The future of the NFL is being fleshed out between the lines in what I’m lovingly referring to as “the proving grounds”. Something to think about is that every year, there are roughly 12,000-15,000 college football players and only 224 get drafted, which is less than 2% of the available pool of players. If you’ve noticed, most organizations are terri-bad at drafting. Of course, the Colts are very lucky they had Bill Polian and now Chris Ballard in the drivers’ seat, but in terms of the overall quality of product you’ll see on Sunday (Monday & Thursday, too), the AAF will show you another 500 or so players in 10 weeks, tripling the number of players that organizations will have clean tape to watch. No more wondering “Will this guy’s motor translate from FCS to the NFL?” No more wondering if that quarterback you love from college ball will stand a chance under center. The AAF is not just made up of washed-up college players. A lot of the players you see are very recent NFL players looking for a second chance, and there aren’t a bunch of players with off the field issues taking up spots in this league. Again, this is just another opportunity for teams to evaluate guys that are likely looking at getting drafted in rounds 4-7 or are going to be UDFAs. If you look at the numbers, most of the players in the NFL right now were drafted after the 4th round or later, or not at all. Think about that. Obviously Youth Anthony Walker Jersey , the combine and draft (and the preseason, while we’re at it!) are just one big dog-and-pony show. This is not such a show. The rule changes make the game more watchable. First, QBs are not being treated like they’re made of glass and touching the QB in a way that looks harmful will result in the defensive player having to sacrifice their first-born. Instead, we’ve seen some big hits that shut down drives (part of the game) and also have seen a couple teams light up the scoreboard having provided protection for their QB (also part of the game). Here’s this week’s lineup with a little blurb about each team. All games are shown on CBS.Salt Lake at Birmingham Sat, Feb 16 2:00 PM ETIn Week 1, former Liberty and New York Giants QB Josh Woodrum and former Idaho Vandal QB Matt Linehan went a combined 17/35 for 2 touchdowns and 2 interceptions for the Salt Lake Stallions as their offense was anemic and they got beat on the road. For the Birmingham Iron, on the other hand, much like the world thought, Alabama put a beatin’ on Utah’s finest and were led by former Texas A&M-Commerce and 2017 Division II National Champion QB Luis Perez, who went 19/33 for 252 yards in his opening start. Notable sightings included not one, but two touchdowns scored by none other than former Colts RB Trent Richardson! I expect the Iron to put another pounding on the apparently hapless Stallions. Last week, former Jets WR Quinton Patton led the Iron with 4 catches for 107 yards.Arizona at Memphis Sat, Feb 16 8:00 PM ETFormer Wake Forest and Jets QB John Wolford won the AAF’s first Player of the Week award after going 18/29 for 275 yards and 4 touchdowns AND two 2-point conversions for the Arizona Hotshots! Memphis, on the other hand, trotted out QB Christian Hackenberg Anthony Walker Jersey Stitched , the former Penn State and Jets 2nd round draft pick, who went 10/23 for 87 yards and an INT. I expect more of the same from each and a Hotshots win!Orlando at San Antonio Sun, Feb 17 4:00 PM ETFormer SMU/Texas QB Garrett Gilbert started for the Orlando Apollos last week and went 15/25 for 227 yards and 2 touchdowns AND a receiving TD as the Spurrier-led Florida squad put up 40 points in their opener in a win over the Atlanta Legends. Former Toledo and Bengals/Titans QB Logan Woodside went 18/36 for 255 yards and 2 INTs in Week 1. Until a Florida teams loses, I’ll go ahead and take them to win this game.Atlanta at San Diego Sun, Feb 17 8:00 PM ETAtlanta played the duo of former Tennessee Vol (also a former Jets QB!) Matt Simms and former Georgia Bulldog (and Chiefs!) QB Aaron Murray last week and frankly, that ain’t it, coach! The duo went a combined 19/35 for 164 yards and 3 INTs in that loss to the Apollos. The Fleet didn’t do much better, though, with the duo of Mike Bercovici (from Arizona State and the San Diego Chargers) and Philip Nelson (college at Minnesota and then a CFL QB!) who went a combined 20/35 for 244 yards and 3 INTs. Better yardage and completion percentage out of the Fleet QBs, but otherwise, there wasn’t much to smile about. Could be a rough outing for both, but Atlanta did just give up a 40-burger to Orlando, so my thoughts are the Fleet may be in the driver’s seat here.

Sooner was part of nation’s best offensive line Myles Garrett Jersey , but is his future at guard in the NFL?"WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Daily Dawg ChowRufio’s PlaybookWill Brinson’s latest 2019 NFL Mock Draft: Browns select RT Cody Ford New,25commentsSooner was part of nation’s best offensive line, but is his future at guard in the NFL?ESTShareTweetShareShareWill Brinson’s latest 2019 NFL Mock Draft: Browns select RT Cody Ford Michael C. Johnson-USA TODAY SportsThe Cleveland Browns’ offensive tackles had a rough year in the first season following the retirement of left tackle Joe Thomas. While the club finished as the second-best offensive line in the NFL, according to Pro Football Focus, but that was built on the strength of the guards Kevin Zeitler and Joel Bitonio, who were the top two pass-blocking guards in the league, and center J.C. Tretter was third among centers in pass blocking. The tackle positions were a bit more rocky, as right tackle Chris Hubbard finished at No. 50 in PFF’s rankings, Desmond Harrison was at No. 67 and Greg Robinson was at No. 63. Cleveland is currently in possession of the 17th-overall selection in the 2019 NFL Draft Jim Brown Jersey White , and CBS Sports’ Will Brinson has the Browns taking a shot at fixing the tackle position in his latest mock draft:Ford, a redshirt junior, played right tackle this past season after playing guard his first two years with the Sooners. He only made seven total starts at guard, however, as he suffered a broken leg in 2016. He made the most of his time at right tackle as he graded out as one of the Sooners’ best offensive lineman and was part of unit that won the Joe Moore Award as the nation’s best offensive line, according to The Norman Transcript. While Brinson projects the 6-foot-4 and 330-pound Ford to be a tackle in the NFL, there are some that consider guard to be his future position in the NFL, as The Draft Network’s Jon Ledyard points out:The Browns selected a college tackle whose NFL future is at guard last year in Austin Corbett. It is easy to wonder if general manager John Dorsey would go down that route again this year with Ford, given that the Browns are not currently in need of a guard. CLEVELAND (AP) — Gerald McCoy isn’t ready to commit to the Browns — or anyone else just yet.The six-time Pro Bowl defensive tackle visited Cleveland’s facility for several hours Friday Bernie Kosar Jersey White , but left without signing a contract, a person familiar with the meeting told The Associated Press. However, the Browns and McCoy’s agents are having “ongoing discussions,” said the person who spoke on condition of anonymity because of the sensitivity of the talks.McCoy was released earlier this week by the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, who didn’t want to pay him $13 million next season and couldn’t find a suitable trade. The Browns are one of several teams pursuing the 6-foot-4, 295-pound McCoy, who has 54 1/2 career sacks in 123 games — all with Tampa Bay. McCoy is expected to have other meetings. The 31-year-old wants to sign with a Super Bowl contender, and the Browns believe they’ve become are one after adding star wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr., edge rusher Olivier Vernon and defensive tackle Sheldon Richardson this offseason. If the Browns sign McCoy Jarvis Landry Jersey White , they would have four current or former Pro Bowlers on their defensive line. He would join Richardson, a Pro Bowler in 2014 as well as Vernon and Myles Garrett, who were named last season.Cleveland already has major money tied up in its defensive line, but general manager John Dorsey said that would not preclude him from dishing out more for the right player, at the right price.

Cowboys head coach Jason Garrett Demarcus Lawrence Jersey Stitched , offensive coordinator Kellen Moore and quarterbacks coach Jon Kitna all played quarterback in the NFL, combining for 169 game appearances and 135 starts. (Yes, Kitna had most of those.)So Dak Prescott has someone he can seek for advice at every turn.Kitna, hired by the Cowboys this offseason, said he plays only a small role in Prescott’s development.“I’m just trying to help him be the best he can be,” said Kitna, who started 124 NFL games in a 15-year career that included two seasons in Dallas. The obvious follow-up question is: What is Prescott’s best? That’s the question the Cowboys are faced with answering as they actively negotiate a long-term deal with Prescott.I don’t think anybody knows that,” Kitna said. “I don’t think anybody knows that. He’s a rare individual. He’s a rare individual from the physical standpoint, the mental standpoint Youth Jason Witten Jersey , the experience standpoint, the leadership, I mean, on down the line. Playing in Dallas, with all that comes with being the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys, he embraces all that. He doesn’t shy away from it. I don’t think you want to even try to put limits on what that would be, on what his best is. It’s going to be fun over time to watch it happen.”Prescott, who turns 26 next month, has never had a losing season in his three seasons starting for the Cowboys. He is 32-16 Jason Witten Jersey Stitched , having thrown for 10,876 yards with 67 touchdowns and 25 interceptions.“The thing that jumps out and I’ve said this multiple times: He wants to be the best,” Kitna said. “A lot of people say that. I just feel like you can watch somebody [you can see it]. You don’t really care about what they say. . . .You watch Jason Witten and you’re like, ‘There’s a guy who wants to be the best tight end. Still.’ Dak is similar. He doesn’t need to be poked and prodded, but he wants to be poked and prodded and pushed. So it’s fun.” Everybody was in on the Cowboys pick that hasn’t worked out so far."The Dallas Cowboys didn’t have a first-round pick in last night’s NFL Draft and that’s great news for the rest of the league. The front office has been completely owning the first round in recent years. They have an impressive All-Pro list that consisting of seven of their last nine first-round picks. That’s remarkable. One of those picks was Morris Claiborne which occurred seven years ago and we’ve moved on from that. But the second mishap is Taco Charlton, who was selected just a couple years ago. While the book isn’t closed on Taco just yet, it doesn’t look very good. The team made a trade with the Miami Dolphins to acquire veteran edge rusher Robert Quinn this offseason, which will inevitably chew into Charlton’s opportunities this upcoming season. There have been different stories floating around about who was actually responsible for the Taco pick. Some of those stories have been told in a way that describes the coaching staff pounding the table for Taco, much to the chagrin of the Cowboys Vice President of Player Personnel Youth Tyron Smith Jersey , Will McClay. According to urban legends, McClay was in favor of another popular edge rusher, T.J. Watt. This is the story that was told previously by Bryan Broaddus, however yesterday on The Draft Show, Broaddus cleared the air. He said that McClay was on board with picking Taco. The good part of this is that the team was not scattered all over the place in 2017 to where they panicked. There was a consensus and that consensus was Taco Charlton. The team saw him as a guy who had the size and traits to offer great upside. His college production didn’t jump out at you, but he was going against some of the best competition in the nation and they felt there was room for him to go. This wasn’t a Rod Marinelli decision. This wasn’t a Jason Garrett decision. While both coaches might have been highly in favor of the Michigan star edge rusher, this was a team decision with McClay in favor of it.

Chris Ballard has made himself the darling of just about every major local and national media outlet by providing unprecedented access and transparency throughout the draft and afterward. It certainly doesn’t hurt that he drafted two All-Pros last year and seems to have fixed a perennially bad offensive line. While a few outlets have tried to create stories by pointing to Jim Irsay’s spending money on guitars instead of overpaying for free agents, most recognize that the Colts have made good moves to improve the team while re-signing their own and are primed to be very competitive in 2019. The team enters year two under head coach Frank Reich and should take steps to grow as their young core develops. Despite all that love, there are some guys who are definitely getting overlooked. For that reason, I wanted to take a look at the roster and see who the most underrated players are on it. There are a few, so let’s dive in.Anthony CastonzoPhoto by Joe Robbins/Getty ImagesLook, I love Quenton Nelson as much as the next guy. The man is a beast who helped remake the Colts offensive line last year. However, lost in his success and that of center Ryan Kelly and rookie Braden Smith’s is just how good Anthony Castonzo was last year. Castonzo has been a critical part of the offensive line since he was drafted, and has performed admirably despite a revolving door of interior offensive linemen he has been asked to lead and support. While the entire group gets a ton of credit for the work they did protecting Luck and opening up running lanes in the 2018 season, it should be noted that it was the return of Anthony Castonzo in week 6 against the Jets that marked the start of the Colts five game streak without a sack allowed. While accolades fell on Kelly and Nelson for their work Indianapolis Colts Jacoby Brissett Jersey , Castonzo went largely unnoticed for his. Castonzo is recognized in the way that matters in terms of the team, however. He is currently the 4th largest cap hit on the roster. There is no doubt that the team understands his value. Another year with the same group of men beside him should only make him a better player. Maybe then he’ll get the recognition he deserves as a key cog in the Colts’ offense. Jack DoylePhoto by Elsa/Getty ImagesMake no mistake, fans love Jack Doyle. He has been Andrew Luck’s go-to target for a couple of seasons and somehow because he had a terrible fumble against the Bengals and then sustained season ending injuries, many have forgotten just how important Doyle is to the Colts’ offense. While the arrival of Eric Ebron provided an excellent red zone weapon that the Colts have been missing, if you had to label one of these two guys as the top guy at the position, it is Jack Doyle and it isn’t close. Doyle offers a well-rounded and versatile playmaker who can block well and who can find the holes in a defense and convert on third down. He is the security blanket you want for your quarterback, but also the guy who can throw the necessary block to spring your running back for a big gain. Not only that, Doyle epitomizes the head down, hardworking attitude this Colts front office loves. While some might try to convince you Doyle is just a guy, his production, versatility, and mentality say otherwise. Kenny MoorePhoto by Sam Greenwood/Getty ImagesUnless your name is Zach Hicks, you probably weren’t giving Kenny Moore the credit he deserved before the Colts extended him this offseason. If you listened to Zach, props to you. If not? Lesson learned. Moore was brought in as a free agent after being waived by the Patriots in his rookie season. The Colts snatched him up and have watched him work his way from backup to one of the scrappier players on the defense in his two years with the team. His hard work edged out Nate Hairston, who had a pretty darn good rookie season himself, and entrenched himself as a starter. As the 2018 season went on Womens Jacoby Brissett 2019 Jersey , there began to be two players you could count on to make a play when the Colts absolutely needed one. One was Darius Leonard, and the other was Kenny Moore. Moore made several critical stops on 3rd downs to end drives and get the ball back in the hands of the offense. As a result, he was extended in the offseason. While names like Justin Houston, Darius Leonard, and Malik Hooker will no doubt be the ones most pointed to by analysts in the coming season when talking about this defense, people would do well to watch out for Kenny Moore. His arrow is still pointing up.Rigoberto SanchezPhoto by Wesley Hitt/Getty ImagesOkay, so I know that we don’t necessarily think much about the kickers on a team unless they mess up. That leads to them frequently being underrated, but in this case it is borderline criminal. Sanchez quietly had an incredible season punting the football in 2018. His net punting average of 42.7 yards was good for 3rd in the league, and he consistently put the team in position to flip the field because of great directional punting. 28 of his 57 punts were either downed or fair caught, meaning he gave his team enough time to get in position to make plays on the ball and prevent a return. Only 21 of his punts were returned for a total of 93 yards. Sanchez didn’t face quite the mountain Andrew Luck did in terms of replacing a legend, but Pat McAfee’s presence looms large still in Indy, and it was no easy task to step into those big boots. All he has done since arriving here is prove he belongs and that he is just going to get better. Time to recognize him for what he is, the league’s next great punter.
So who is your pick for the Colts most underrated player?

Baker Mayfield threw a career-high four touchdown passes in another growing-up-fast performance Cleveland Browns Rashard Higgins Jersey , and the Cleveland Browns ended one of the NFL’s longest streaks of road futility on Sunday with a 35-20 victory over the Cincinnati Bengals, who lost quarterback Andy Dalton to a thumb injury.Cleveland (4-6-1) got its first road win since 2015, emphatically snapping a streak of 25 straight road losses that was one shy of the Lions’ NFL record. The Browns also ended a run of seven straight losses to their intrastate rival.“This team is very scary,” safety Damarious Randall said. “We feel like we can go out and blow up any game.”And just as the Browns’ unabashed safety had predicted, it wasn’t even close. The Browns surged ahead 28-0 as former head coach Hue Jackson watched helplessly from the opposite sideline. Jackson couldn’t win with the Browns 鈥?only three victories in two-plus seasons. Nor could he beat them as a special defensive assistant with the Bengals (5-6), who lost for the fifth time in six games.Seeing their former coach on the other sideline added to the Browns’ motivation.“Somebody who was in our locker room is asking us to play for him, and then he goes to a different team Womens Rashard Higgins 2019 Jersey ,” said Mayfield, who didn’t feel like talking to Jackson when they met on the field after the game.Randall had predicted during the week that if Bengals receiver A.J. Green didn’t play, the Browns would dominate. Green was out again with a toe injury, and Randall had a hand in making his prediction hold up.He picked off Dalton in the second quarter, ran out of bounds and handed the ball to Jackson , who was fired last month by the Browns. Jackson responded by tapping him on the helmet.“He just said thank you for the ball,” Randall said.Dalton hurt the thumb on his passing hand while trying to recover a fumble in the third quarter and didn’t return. He was still being evaluated after the game. The Browns turned the fumble recovery into Mayfield’s fourth TD pass for a 35-7 lead. Dalton was 10 of 17 for 100 yards with a touchdown and an interception. From the opening drive Cheap Rashard Higgins Youth Jersey , it was all Cleveland. The Browns’ 28 first-half points were their most since 1991, when they scored 31 against the Colts.“It hurts,” Bengals receiver Tyler Boyd said. “It hurts a lot.”Mayfield was at the center of it all, completing 14 of 18 passes as the Browns surged ahead by 21 points. He was coming off his best game, a three-TD performance during a 28-16 win over Atlanta that sent Cleveland into its bye week. Hilton in the third round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Perhaps that has changed now that they have selected another receiver with breakaway speed late in the second round of the 2019 NFL Draft, Parris Campbell. Our very own Stephen Reed handled our scouting efforts for the wide receiver position in the Anthony Arena Memorial 2019 NFL Draft guide. His report can be found below. There is little argument that one of the primary weaknesses for the Colts wide receiver group is that no one on the roster has been able to show any consistency stretching the field opposite Hilton. This weakness has allowed defenses to focus a great deal of attention on Hilton and come up to focus on passes short routes by tight ends. Campbell will create mismatch opportunities and force opposing secondaries to make choices. At the NFL Combine, Campbell tired Andy Isabella for the best 40-yard dash at 4.31 seconds. He was fifth at the position with a 40” vertical jump. He tied for third at the position with a 135” broad jump. He also tied for the best 20-yard shuttle time at 4.03 seconds. In his senior season at Ohio State, Campbell led the team in reception with 90 and in receiving yards with 1,063 Womens Darius Leonard Jersey , adding 12 touchdowns. As a junior he took 10 hand-offs for 132-yards and a touchdown, to go along with 40 receptions for 584 yards and three touchdowns. In his sophomore seasons he was named third-team All-Big Ten as a kick returner with 21 kickoff returns for 584 yards, a 27.8 yards per return average. It should be clear to Colts fans by now that Frank Reich likes to have offensive weapons capable of wearing multiple hats. Campbell is definitely that. Between Hilton, Campbell and Hines the Colts offense has blistering speed and athleticism to go along with incredible physical talents like Devin Funchess, Eric Ebron and Jack Doyle. While our film room looks at the offensive line have placed a great deal of emphasis on analyzing pass blocking Youth Matthias Farley Jersey , the last two games have seen the run game get more attention. It was clear from the film that Reich and Sirianni are more comfortable running left, as they should be, but Smith did have opportunities to impact runs to the right side of the line as well. This small film room piece will look at five other run blocks from the Jets and Bills games where we see Smith play a role in the outcome. This isn’t an big impact block for Smith but he does work his way into position to seal the linebacker away from the running lane. He is help by a poor read here but we will take any win we can get from Smith in space at the second level at this point. As we have noted already, he will need to continue developing as a blocker when he is required to take angles and seal, particularly in the interior. In our initial film room piece Matthias Farley Jersey Stitched , looking at Smith’s biggest plays in both phases, we pointed out a poor block on Marlon Mack’s long run to the left. We noted that it is odd to point out a bad block on a big play. This is a similar play call with Nyheim Hines in the backfield. In the second pause, you can see that Smith takes a better angle to get initial leverage. While he doesn’t stonewall the defender, he wins. The defensive lineman had no chance to impact the play.Smith carries over his comfort level blocking against edge rushers to his outside seal blocks. He has shown on numerous occasions a natural ability to allow the defender to run themselves too deep into the backfield and the patience and discipline to rotate his body, keep his feet moving and shove the defender well out of the running lane.If Mark Glowinski can win his block on these plays Youth Nate Hairston Jersey , Smith’s ability to seal will create nice lanes for the backs. This is nearly identical to the previous play. The defender looks foolish and ends up on the ground. Our final Braden Smith run blocking highlight shows him help Glowinski with a chip and release to the second level. He seals Matt Milano inside and sets up Mack with a chance to to one-on-one with a defensive back at the second level. Unfortunately, Mack gets tripped up on Ryan Hewitt’s pull block on the edge.I am both humored and impressed by Chester Rogers in this clip. The receivers are being taught to block players on the run by throwing their body into them with a hip check and spinning away so they back into them. This technique is taught to avoid a blocking in the back penalty, as it is illegal for a player to extend their hands into the back of a defender. It has been effective numerous times this year, including on Marlon Mack’s dump-off touchdown reception.ANALYSISSmith displays the same strengths and weaknesses as a run blocker as he does in pass protection. He has work to do at the second level, blocking in space and he should continue working on ways to put himself into better position with his angles at the snap. However Nate Hairston Jersey Stitched , he is particularly comfortable on sealing defenders on the edge.As we noted at the start, there is clearly a preference to run left. This shouldn’t be viewed as a lack of faith in Smith so much as a great deal of confidence in the left side of the line. Who can blame the coaching staff for choosing Anthony Castonzo, Quenton Nelson, and Ryan Kelly as the preferred canvas when they draw up runs?

The Cowboys made DeMarcus Lawrence the highest-paid player in team history last month. That won’t last long. They will have to pay quarterback Dak Prescott more. The question remains: How much do the Cowboys pay Prescott? Owner Jerry Jones has never wavered about Prescott’s future Dallas Cowboys Tony Pollard Jersey , even while knowing he might have to pay more than he wants to pay to keep his quarterback.“We’re sold on Dak, and we do want to have him for the long term,” Jones said Monday on , via Jon Machota of the . “We think he’s worthy of investing in for the long term. . . .We see real upside in Dak. You don’t have it all yet.”Prescott is 32-16 in the regular season in his three-year career, with a passer rating of 96.0 and two Pro Bowl trips. He has not, though Womens Tony Pollard 2019 Jersey , gotten past the divisional round of the playoffs yet, going 1-2 in two postseason appearances. The NFL's Super Bowl ticketing policies will be put under a microscope this week when New Jersey's Supreme Court considers claims that the league violated state consumer fraud laws leading up to the 2014 game at MetLife Stadium. If Josh Finkelman's challenge succeeds and the case ultimately prevails as a class action, the NFL could be liable for millions in damages to him and other ticketholders, his attorney said."He was forced to pay thousands of dollars a ticket where the face value is $800," Bruce Nagel said. "People were paying five to 10 times the face value of the tickets. That's not right."Finkelman's lawsuit, filed in the weeks after Super Bowl XLVIII Dallas Cowboys Tony Pollard Jersey , cuts to the core of an issue that has bedeviled sports fans for decades: the league's practice of releasing roughly 1 percent of available tickets through a lottery, with the rest going to the teams, sponsors and other insiders.Finkelman claims the practice violates a New Jersey law 鈥?since repealed 鈥?that required 95 percent of tickets to be made available to the public. His suit was dismissed twice by a U.S. District judge sitting in New Jersey who said Finkelman hadn't demonstrated the NFL's policies had caused him economic harm, partly since he hadn't entered the lottery. But after Finkelman refiled the suit, the 3rd U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals in Philadelphia ruled last December that the suit could go forward and directed New Jersey's Supreme Court to hear arguments on the applicability of the state law. Those arguments are scheduled for Thursday morning.Finkelman "has overcome a very significant hurdle in that he's shown his legal standing to sue, meaning he's shown a cognizable injury Cheap Tony Pollard Youth Jersey ," said Daniel Wallach, a Miami-based attorney specializing in sports industry law. "But he now has a second obstacle that must be overcome."In his amended suit, Finkelman cited research by University of San Francisco sports economist Daniel Rascher alleging that insiders are more likely to re-sell tickets through brokers, who are more likely to charge higher prices than fans would charge to other fans. The NFL prohibits fans who win tickets through a lottery from re-selling tickets. If more tickets were available to the public, the suit contends, the prices on the secondary market would be lower. The NFL called Rascher's theories speculative and wrote in a court filing that "there is simply no way of knowing whether the people and entities to whom the NFL distributed tickets to Super Bowl XLVIII were any less likely to sell their tickets on the secondary market than members of the general public would have been."An NFL spokesman didn't return a message seeking comment Wednesday.According to Nagel Dallas Cowboys Jalen Jelks Jersey , 95 percent of the roughly 82,000 tickets to the game could be subject to damages calculated by the difference between their face value and what the secondary market charged. That potential figure, well into the tens of millions, would be trebled under rules governing class actions, he said.More hurdles await Finkelman if the state Supreme Court sides with him, however. He would have to persuade a federal judge to grant class-action status Womens Jalen Jelks 2019 Jersey , and survive additional motions by the NFL to throw the case out. Then he would have to prevail in front of a jury, unless the league opts to settle out of court."To use a football phrase, the game is barely in the middle of the first quarter, and the NFL remains a prohibitive favorite," Wallach said.

We’ll know in about a week."WhiteFanposts Fanshots Sections Dallas Cowboys News2019 Cowboys Draft: Juan Thornhill might be the exact safety that Dallas is looking forNew Womens Ezekiel Elliott Jersey ,151commentsWe’ll know in about a week.CDTShareTweetShareShare2019 Cowboys Draft: Juan Thornhill might be the exact safety that Dallas is looking forGeoff Burke-USA TODAY SportsWe are less than a week away from acquiring some new members of the Dallas Cowboys. It’s the final days before Christmas and we’re not allowed to shake any of the presents underneath the tree.Dallas held their annual pre-draft press conference this past week and this is typically something that provides a lot of information on what they’re looking for. This year Stephen Jones did most of the talking which meant that Jerry didn’t have as much opportunity to tip the Cowboys hand, but it was still valuable nonetheless. Listening to either Jones member discuss things it’s easy to come away thinking that the Cowboys have a serious focus on the safety position. Stephen has said several times recently that it’s one of the spots on the team that they’ve devoted the fewest amount of resources to. Just look at the Cowboys defense and you’ll see first-rounders that have been spent at defensive end (not to mention a huge contract), linebacker, and cornerback. Safety has been tough even with the drafting of Byron Jones that they were able to salvage. What exactly are the Cowboys even looking for at safety, though? What type of player do they want? While he was keeping things ambiguous Stephen did drop some information on it, and what’s even more interesting is how one player in this draft class fits that mold almost to a t... Virginia safety Juan Thornhill. We know how much the Cowboys love position flex, it’s part of what did indeed make Byron Jones thrive once more Michael Gallup Jersey , and Thornhill could be someone who they value from that perspective. It’s been discussed greatly as to exactly what kind of safety the Cowboys need, why not get someone who can handle both roles the position necessitates?Thornhill has athleticism that allows him to do a variety of things. He’s skilled enough to roam the backfield but strong and smart enough to make decisions when things break down. He’s a weapon that this team could very much use defensively. Imagine him under the tutelage of Kris Richard. We’ve talked about Thornhill a lot here at BTB, he’s a favorite of many for the 58th overall pick. He’s a realistic option and not one that would require a draft free fall, what’s more is he could be a legitimate star in this secondary. The NFL Draft is an unpredictable thing and Thornhill could in fact be gone in the first 57 picks. He could also be on the board one selection later and see the Cowboys pass over him. Listening to Stephen Jones though it sounds an awful lot like he’s a perfect candidate to wear a star on his helmet.Hopefully that’s the case a week from now. Ed Werder, former NFL beat reporter for ESPN, has heard that changes are quite possible at offensive coordinator despite contradicting comments earlier this week by Jason Garrett.Report: Cowboys checked out mystery coach in past 48 hours, raising questions about OC Linehan's futureA report came out about Cowboys reaching out to a recently-hired coach Womens Leighton Vander Esch Jersey , which has the internet buzzing about potential replacement offensive coordinators for Scott Linehan.Could Cowboys replace OC Linehan within current staff?- Patrick Conn- WFAA.comThe Cowboys are still mulling over their options at offensive coordinator, including sticking with Scott Linehan, but could a promotion from within replace him?Are the Cowboys looking to the remaining playoff teams for a new offensive coordinator? -David Howman- Blogging The BoysIs it possible the Cowboys will replace Scott Linehan with one of these guys?Could Cowboys take familiar route in handling Scott Linehan- Patrik Walker-247SportsThe Cowboys have a history of interesting ways to deal with coaches who have become unfavorable, will they do something similar with Scott Linehan. Can the Cowboys build on comeback season with the current OC Scott Linehan in the fold? The game was the perfect example of what this team is capable of when they are really firing Andrew Luck Jersey 2019 , as they got out to two consecutive long touchdown drives to start the game with a defensive three and out in between. By the time the second quarter arrived, the game felt well in the Colts’ control, and only a badly called touchdown in the fourth quarter for the Texans saved it from being a shutout. There were plenty of winners to go around in this one, so let’s get started with them. WinnersBraden SmithPhoto by Tim Warner/Getty ImagesWhile Smith might not be the name that makes the most sense to lead off our winners as he is not the flashy big play guy, he once again handled J.J. Watt and Jadeveon Clowney like a seasoned veteran. While Quenton Nelson makes the Pro Bowl and First-Team All-Pro, Smith is also doing incredible things, and eliminating J.J. Watt is a big one. There were very few things that the Monday Night Football broadcast crew got right in their call of the game, but one of them from Booger was that J.J. Watt knocking down the ball was great, but ultimately, he had to start getting to Andrew Luck. He isn’t wrong. While batting the ball obviously can pay off as it resulted in an interception, he was unable to get to pressure on Luck, and as a result, Luck diced up their defense. Braden Smith deserves major credit for the year he has had.T.Y. HiltonPhoto by Bob Levey/Getty ImagesFrom the moment that he showed up to the airport with his Joker backpack we should have known. T.Y. Hilton doesn’t do much talking off the field. He is one of the “let my play do my talking” kind of guys. When he arrived at NRG Stadium in a Pennywise the Clown mask, it was a clear sign of how he felt about being disrespected by a player he has routinely dominated. The whole first drive of the game was the Luck and Hilton show. He had 85 yards on the day, but most of those came in the first quarter. He made big plays early that required the defense to pay attention to him, and the running game took over from there. Marlon MackPhoto by Tim Warner/Getty ImagesLet me say this loud one more time for the people in the back—the Colts are not signing Le’Veon Bell in the offseason. Why would they? Marlon Mack has been great as the lead back in a versatile running back room that has a solid coach in Tom Rathman. This is a group that will continue to get even better, and Mack looks like a completely different guy than last season. Despite only playing in 12 games this season, Mack is 16th in total rushing yards and 6th in yards per game for backs with at least 50 attempts. His 148 rushing yards set a new franchise record for the most rushing yards in a playoff game. That would be impressive in its own right, but that performance came against a team that Football Outsiders had as the top run defense in the league in 2018. What is even more encouraging than that? The team he’ll face next, the Kansas City Chiefs, ranks dead last in stopping the run. Andrew LuckPhoto by Tim Warner/Getty ImagesLuck did not have a remarkable day in terms of his statistical output. You’d have had to watch the film to see his brilliance. He didn’t rush throws, put good touch on the ball when it was needed, and threw darts into close windows when the coverage called for it. In short, he played efficient football and didn’t make mistakes. That was all that was needed given the success of the running game. He continues to make plays with his feet, both extending plays and hitting guys downfield White T.Y. Hilton Jersey , and scrambling for first downs when the opportunity presents itself. His lone interception was more about J.J. Watt’s good play than a bad throw or decision. It might not stand out as an iconic playoff performance, but it was a solid one that got the job done.Kenny MooreTroy Taormina-USA TODAY SportsHow have we made it this far into this story without talking about Kenny Moore? It has been the Kenny Moore show on defense the past two weeks as the Colts corner has really turned it on. His performance against the Texans was crucial, getting a sack as well as another QB hit and breaking up a couple passes in addition to snagging another interception. This is perfect timing for Moore, who has had a solid season, but over the past two games has kicked his play up a notch. If the Colts are going to continue winning, it will take more on defense than just Darius Leonard making plays, and while the defensive line has shown all year the ability to impact the game, having the secondary coming alive as the playoffs get under way is a huge boost to this defense. Clayton GeathersMark J. Rebilas-USA TODAY SportsMuch like Ryan Kelly does for the offense, Clayton Geathers is a big impact player for the defense. His 9 tackles and pass defended don’t tell the whole story of what he brings in terms of defending the run, but his attitude and leadership on the field alone are notable. He is a more disciplined player than George Odum, who is best as a special teamer, and so having him their to defend the run and help keep contain was a big deal. The Colts often opened up the middle a bit too much and let Watson run there and pick up first downs. However, that was only taking place once the game was well in hand and if your defense is forcing the opposing quarterback to run the ball in order to win, they’re doing something right. Geathers being back gave some more heart to the defense and the Colts need him healthy throughout the rest of the playoffs to make a run.Frank ReichIndy Star-USA TODAY NETWORKThis game was about as expertly called as any we have seen all year. It was the picture of excellent preparation, flawless execution, and wrong-footing your opponent. Frank Reich has largely done an amazing job this season, which can make you forget at times that this is his first year as a head coach. Like the rest of the team and staff, he is still improving as a coach and growing. This was his best game yet, and he is raising his own game at the perfect time.Honorable Mentions: Dontrelle Inman, Darius Leonard, Al Quadin Muhammad, Quenton NelsonLosersKansas City ChiefsDenny Medley-USA TODAY SportsEdit: So I see that I completely messed this one up, as many of you have pointed out correctly that the Chiefs would have played the Chargers in the divisional round with a Colts loss. I do still hold that the Chiefs lose here, because the Chargers are the team they know. While they have been playing well, we saw in our game how familiarity impacts the planning T.Y. Hilton Jersey 2019 , and it showed in the Ravens vs Chargers game as well. Instead of a familiar face, the Chiefs will host an arguably hotter Colts team, and the Patriots get to be losers too because they have to deal with a Chargers team that is playing really well. They’re also losers because they’re just the worst. If you are the Chiefs, you should definitely have to be disappointed that the Texans didn’t get a win here. The Texans were one of the weaker teams in the playoffs and the Chiefs match up well against them in every way. Instead, the Colts are the ones they will host in Arrowhead. Chiefs fans are haunted by gutting playoff losses to the Colts, one of which provided a staple performance from Andrew Luck that most of us will never forget. While ultimately the past doesn’t matter, that doesn’t stop it from unnerving fans, as Colts fans know well. Instead of the Texans, the Chiefs will face a Colts team that is red hot, has no fear, and just seems to be getting better. The offseason is officially here and the NFL draft is arguably the leagues biggest offseason event. So each week we will both be mocking draft picks to the Colts and analysing them. We will now be mocking the first two picks of the Colts then building up to include the other rounds and picks as we get into free agency and then closer to the draft. Elliot’s Round 1 - Pick 26Jerome Miron-USA TODAY SportsChristian Wilkins - DL - Clemson Chris Ballard has reiterated the need to fortify the Colts defensive line. The Colts have both Margus Hunt and Al Woods set to hit free agency also. Enter Christian Wilkins, the forgotten man in the defensive tackle group, a group that’s led by bigger flashy names such as Quinnen Williams and Ed Oliver. Wilkins has a great blend of pass rushing skills and nose for stopping the run, managing to rack up 40.5 tackles for a loss and 16 sacks in his college career. He brings a versatility that is similar to Denico Autry in that he has been used inside and on the edge. Wilkins from Clemson projects well as a fit in the Colts interior defensive line. Elliot’s Round 2 - Pick 34Photo by Michael Chang/Getty ImagesA.J. Brown - WR - Ole MissThe Colts are in desperate need for help opposite TY Hilton, so why not grab one of the best receivers in this draft class. AJ Brown is exactly the type of receiver the Colts need to help elevate the pressure of Hilton. Brown offers a big body, secure hands and plenty of YAC ability.Adding a wide receiver like Brown is exactly what the Colts need and may help take the offense under Frank Reich to another level.Reed’s AnalysisAs the first two picks go for the Colts, you probably couldn’t be happier with this combo. Wilkins is exactly what the Colts look for in not just a player but as a person. He’s a penetrating 3-technique who can cause havoc in the backfield. He’s surprisingly stout against the run and is possibly one of the more versatile DTs in this class. Add in that Wilkins appeared to be a leader off the field for Clemson and you’ve got the total package.Brown is an interesting case. He had two quality WRs with him at Ole Miss so his production certainly wasn’t as high as it could have been. That said, Brown has quality hands and runs solid routes. He could contribute immediately but has athletic limitations. I wouldn’t be surprised if Brown turned out to be a better pro than his counterparts at Ole Miss.Reed’s Round 1 - Pick 26Photo by Matthew Holst/Getty ImagesT.J. Hockenson - TE - IowaThis might be a shock to some with the TEs the Colts currently have on the roster but Hockenson, in Frank Reich’s offense, is perfect. He’s the Swiss army knife of TE prospects. He’s effective at the point of attack in the run but has great hands with an ability to make contested catches. Hockenson appears to be an upgraded version of Jack Doyle. Reed’s Round 2 - Pick 34Photo by Butch Dill/Getty ImagesJeffery Simmons - DT - Mississippi St.Another controversial pick here for some fans. As many of us know, Simmons tore his ACL earlier this month. Prior to that, Simmons was consistently projected as a top 10 pick and likely considered the second best DT in the entire draft. He is the perfect gap penetrating DT for the Colts system. He has his limitations at the point of attack but can hold his own.The biggest red flag for fans, myself included White Pat McAfee Jersey , relates to Simmons assault of a woman prior to enrolling at Mississippi St three years ago. You can read the story here and make your own determination. Since that time, Simmons has been a model citizen and a leader at Mississippi St. If this were a draft based solely on talent, Simmons is a no-brainer, which is why he goes at 34 overall. However, Simmons could also be off Chris Ballard’s board entirely. I wouldn’t be surprised either way and would support Ballard’s decision to remove him entirely. Assaulting women is indefensible. Period.Elliot’s AnalysisWow, hello Mr Controversial! Love the Hockenson pick, Hockenson in my opinion in the best tight end in the class and better than his Iowa counterpart Fant, who is getting all the draft attention. Hockenson, as Reed mentioned, is a jack-of-all-trades tight end who really can do it all but also does it all extremely well. If Hockenson was the first pick in the draft by the Colts, I would certainly feel conflicted. On one hand the Colts grabbed one of the best offensive prospects in the draft in a position which will become a future need, but on the other hand may have neglected the bigger immediate needs in doing so. Regardless, the Colts could do a lot worse than Hockenson. Simmons, based solely off on-the-field play and presence, would likely be a top 10 pick in this class, but a draft grade isn’t solely off on-the-field play, which dampens Simmons’ grade. Simmons does wreck havoc along the defensive line and does so well in penetrating gaps which is exactly what the Colts ask of their defensive linemen. However, Simmons’ off-the-field issues aren’t great, Reed mentioned the assault on a female above, plus add in the fact that he has just torn his ACL, so he wouldn’t be able to contribute early on if at all in the season. Simmons isn’t the best use of the 34th overall pick in the draft in my opinion.

INDIANAPOLIS — Andrew Luck started Sunday by carving up Jacksonville’s staunch defense. He finished it by playing the eager spectator. After throwing three first-half touchdown passes and picking up only two first downs in the second half Womens Malik Hooker Jersey , he celebrated when the Indianapolis Colts‘ defense delivered the decisive turnover with 90 seconds left to preserve a 29-26 victory over the Jaguars.“We played well enough in the first half to put some points on the board,” Luck said. “Then we survived.”Barely survived, that is.Trailing by three, Jacksonville quickly marched from its 42-yard line into field goal range, and when Rashad Greene Sr. went down at the Colts’ 23, it looked like the Jaguars were already set up for at least a tying field goal. Initially, Greene was ruled down before the ball squirted out.But just before the Jags (3-6) ran the next play, the whistles blew for a booth review. A few minutes later, the call was overturned, giving the ball and the game to the Colts, who have won three straight for the first time in three years.“I thought we got the play off, but obviously Womens Peyton Manning Jersey , we didn’t,” Jags coach Doug Marrone said before elaborating later. “Personally, I thought it wasn’t a fumble. But I see what everybody sees from the sideline.”Last year’s AFC runner-ups were a popular preseason pick to dethrone New England. Instead, the Jags have lost five straight, six of seven and are last in the division. And they don’t get more painful than this.Jacksonville had an extra point blocked and nearly returned for a 2-point conversion in the first half. Two 15-yard penalties helped Indy score its fourth touchdown, a 1-yard pass from Luck to Mo Alie-Cox late in the second quarter. An offside call on the ensuing extra point prompted coach Frank Reich to go for two, which Marlon Mack punched it in to make it 29-13.Jacksonville kicker Josh Lambo missed his first field goal of the season, a 52-yarder, wide left in the third quarter but then made a 55-yarder to cut the deficit to three with 4:03 left. Finally, Kenny Moore III sealed the Jags’ fate by ripping the ball away from Greene just before his leg went down and Malik Hooker scooped it up.“Offensively we’re looking to improve, put that thing away,” Reich said. “But make no mistake about it: This was a huge win for us.”Luck started fast Cheap Nate Hairston Youth Jersey , hooking up with Eric Ebron on a 53-yard TD pass seven plays into the game. After Donte Moncrief tied it on an 80-yard scoring play, Ebron answered with a 2-yard TD run to make it 14-7. Luck connected with Ebron again on a 12-yard TD pass, giving the tight end a career-high third score with 9:19 left in the first half.Luck finished 21 of 29 with 285 yards, one interception and was not sacked.Blake Bortles was 26 of 38 with 320 yards and two TD passes while Leonard Fournette had 53 yards rushing, 56 yards receiving and his first two scores of the season — one on the ground, one through the air.It just wasn’t enough.“It’s a good defense, a lot of respect for that defense,” Luck said. “We certainly weren’t sharp enough.”100 Gallery:View from the sidelines: NFL cheerleaders 2018Raj Mehta-USA TODAY Sports | Raj MehtaINJURY REPORTJaguars: Center Brandon Linder and offensive tackle Ereck Flowers both left in the third quarter with knee injuries.Colts: Defensive end Carroll Phillips left in the first half with an injured groin. Defensive tackle Grover Stewart left with an injured ankle in the fourth quarter. Neither returned.AUTOMATIC ADAMThe Colts honored the NFL’s new career scoring leader, Adam Vinatieri, before the game with a brief highlight film and the distinction of being the last starter introduced to the crowd, which roared.Vinatieri responded by waving to the crowd and slapping hands with some fans on the field. Then he added three more points to his record-breaking total (2,553) before missing a 52-yard attempt wide right with 2:58 left in the game.He also tied George Blanda for the most regular-season wins in league history (209).STAT PACKJaguars: Fournette had 29 touches Womens Pierre Desir 2019 Jersey , 24 carries and five receptions, in his third game this season. … Punter Logan Cooke completed a 4-yard pass on a fake field goal, which kept the Jags’ 17-play drive alive to open the second half. The drive ended with Fournette’s 1-yard TD catch.Colts: Ebron finished with three catches for 69 yards. … Jack Doyle and Alie-Cox, Indy’s other two tight ends, combined for five catches and 64 yards. … Rookie Jordan Wilkins broke free for Indy’s longest run of the season (53 yards) in the first half.UP NEXTJaguars: Jacksonville can snap its losing streak next Sunday when it hosts Pittsburgh.Colts: Could get back into the AFC South race by beating Tennessee at home next Sunday. Sam Darnold appeared destined to go to Cleveland in the months leading up to the NFL draft. Then Bernie Kosar Jersey , the Browns called an audible along the way and went instead with Baker Mayfield at No. 1 overall. After the Giants took Saquon Barkley next, the New York Jets ended up with the quarterback they wanted all along and Darnold was headed to the Big Apple."I thought I could've been there or several other teams," Darnold said Monday. "I honestly haven't even thought about it since I got drafted by the Jets. With (Cleveland) having the (No.) 1 pick, I guess there was a good chance I might have gone there, so I was thinking about it before. But ever since the draft, I haven't thought about it."On Thursday night, Darnold will be in Cleveland. But as the enemy 鈥?and a reminder to Browns fans of who they might have had.Not that Darnold, who'll be making his third NFL start, has revenge or redemption on his mind."No, I'm just going to go out there and play ball," he said.Darnold has much more pressing matters at hand David Njoku Jersey White , such as trying to bounce back from a 20-12 loss to Miami on Sunday .The No. 3 overall pick struggled at times with some missed opportunities and mistakes, as did the rest of the Jets. But Darnold also had some positive moments, and at 21 years and 103 days old became the youngest player to throw for 300 yards. He finished with 334 yards passing with one touchdown and two interceptions."Other than the two picks, I thought I played pretty well," Darnold said. "So, I'm just going to continue to try to play as consistent as possible and find completions when I can and take shots when I can."Meanwhile, Mayfield hasn't yet taken a regular-season snap for the Browns with Tyrod Taylor as the starter. The former Oklahoma star is considered the future of the franchise for Cleveland 鈥?a label that appeared reserved for Darnold."I was excited to go anywhere," Darnold said. "Whoever wanted me, whoever wanted to pick me. As a top pick, it was a dream come true right when it happened. I wasn't concerned with who was picking me, but more with where I was going and where I might need to spend the next Womens Jim Brown Jersey , for now, three or four years."The Jets envision Darnold being around for a lot longer than that, and Thursday will serve as the next test 鈥?and step 鈥?in the young quarterback's development. The Browns are still winless since 2016, but they have a tie and a three-point loss through the first two games so they're no pushovers.Gregg Williams' defense has already caused problems for the likes of Pittsburgh's Ben Roethlisberger and New Orleans' Drew Brees, and could be licking its chops to face a rookie at home in front of the Dawg Pound."First of all, I think his guys are ready to play every single game," Darnold said. "They come out fiery and at the same time, they bring pressures that, sometimes, no one's ever seen before. We're going to be ready. I'm focused on what we're doing, but also on what the defense is doing and how we can attack them."The Jets and Darnold will have to do a better job than they did for much of the game against the Dolphins. New York was just 3 of 10 on third downs Nick Chubb Browns Jersey , including 1 of 8 in the first half when it fell behind 20-0.This will be the third game in just 11 days for the Jets, no easy task for a rookie QB. Darnold recognizes that this week's preparation will be condensed even more than last week, when New York was coming off a Monday night game in the opener."It's a different challenge, something I haven't necessarily dealt with, but it's awesome," Darnold said. "It's just another challenge for this team and we're going to take it head on. Looking at Cleveland last night, it was moving on right after that game. We watched that game and then got right to Cleveland. Not the final score that we wanted. Obviously, we looked to come out of there with a win, but move on as fast as possible and get to Cleveland because it's a short turnaround."NOTES: TE Neal Sterling (concussion), S Marcus Maye (foot) and LB Josh Martin (concussion) did not practice, although it was more of a walkthrough session. LT Kelvin Beachum (foot) and LG James Carpenter (foot) were limited. ... Jets coach Todd Bowles said he liked what he saw from Mayfield while going through the draft process. "I thought he was he gritty Womens Baker Mayfield Jersey ," Bowles said. "Had a great workout when we worked him out. I think he's a tough player and he's going to be a good player." ... WR ArDarius Stewart returned from his two-game suspension for violating the NFL's policy on performance enhancers. The Jets have until 4 p.m. Wednesday to make a decision on whether to activate or release him. After Browns running back Duke Johnson asked to be traded, Browns General Manager John Dorsey channeled Tommy Lee Jones and essentially said, I don’t care. Browns coach Freddie Kitchens feels the same way.“At this point in time, him asking for a trade doesn’t matter to me,” Kitchens said, via ESPN. “He’s a Cleveland Brown. Duke’s the type of the guy who’s going to show up and he’s going to do his job and he’s going do his job well. That’s all I can ask for as a coach. His demands, I’m not impacted by that one bit.”Kitchens insisted that Johnson will be on the roster in 2019.“Duke’s under contract,” Kitchens said. “I’ve said this for a month now, I don’t know where all this trade talk started happening. People just assumed we would trade him because we signed another good football player [Kareem Hunt]. I like good football players, and I like as many as I can get. It’s our job to get him the ball and enable him in whatever role that is. Duke Johnson is on this football team and will have a vital role on this team and will help us win football games. Am I surprised he’s still here? No, not one bit. I have never said anything different than that.”Johnson played all 16 games last year but had a diminished role in the offense https://www.brownslockerroom.com/authentic-jim-brown-jersey , finishing the season with career-lows in carries, rushing yards, catches and receiving yards. Heading into his fifth season, Johnson seems like a player the Browns could easily decide to move on from, but Kitchens and Dorsey have both indicated that won’t happen any time soon.

Thomas Marshon Lattimore Jersey Stitched , a second round pick by the Saints in the 2016 draft, had his third straight 1,000 yard receiving season last year. He led the league with a franchise record 125 receptions, totaling another team record 1,405 receiving yards. While Thomas dominated defenses, the rest of the New Orleans receiving corps struggled to provide any consistent threat against the opposition. Running back Alvin Kamara is one of the league's most versatile weapons, and the team signed free agent tight end Jared Cook this offseason to upgrade that spot. New Orleans does expect a big improvement from Tre'Quan Smith and Keith Kirkwood this year after promising rookie seasons, along with a return to health of veterans Ted Ginn Jr. and Cameron Meredith. Saints head coach Sean Payton has always been an offensive minded coach though, so it wouldn't surprise anyone if New Orleans spent an early draft choice on another weapon for quarterback Drew Brees. Today's draft profile has a look at a potential gamebreaker, who could give opposing defenses nightmares. Andy Isabella, WR (Massachusetts)5'9188Matt Bush-USA TODAY SportsIsabella starred in both track and football at Mayfield High School in Ohio. He was the Ohio state champion in the 100 and 200 meters (defeating Cleveland Browns cornerback Denzel Ward), and ran a national best 6.72 60m dash during the indoor season. Not heavily recruited due to his size, Isabella chose the University of Massachusetts, the only Division I school to offer him a football scholarship. He was a starter by his sophomore year, and caught 62 passes for 801 yards and seven touchdowns. By his junior year he was a star and a home run threat, catching 65 balls for 1,020 yards and 10 scores. Isabella was fully on the radar of NFL scouts as a senior last year. He had a standout game on a national stage against Georgia, and finished the year with 102 receptions for 1,698 yards and 13 touchdowns. He was named to the Walter Camp All-American team, and was a finalist for the Biletnikoff award given to the nation's top receiver. John David Mercer-USA TODAY SportsIsabella capped off his collegiate career with a 7 catch, 79 yard, 1 touchdown outing in the Senior Bowl Youth Ryan Ramczyk Jersey , and was named the M.V.P. for the North squad. He then grabbed national attention with a dazzling performance at the NFL Scouting Combine in February. Isabella blazed a 4.31 in the 40, tying for the fastest mark among wideouts and the 3rd best among all participants. He also ran a 6.95 in the 3-cone drill and 4.15 in the 20-yd shuttle, both fifth among receivers. Nfl.com comparisonhillip Dorsett (Patriots)Photo by Scott Cunningham/Getty ImagesAndy Isabella is a fierce and tough competitor, ableto make plays in the middle of the field despite his size. He gets a quick release off the line to beat press coverage, and is equally effective from outside or the slot. He is both quick in short areas to gain separation, and blazing fast to beat coverage deep. Isabella makes sharp route cuts and adjustments at full speed, getting to open space almost immediately for his quarterback. He is lightning in the open field. Extremely elusive to defenders with the ball in his hands, he is difficult to hit and explodes through creases to create big plays. He is a playmaker on short passes, but is also a bonafide deep threat, able to excel through the entire route tree with both speed and precision. Isabella has small hands for a wideout, and his frame gives him a limited catch radius. His route running improved drastically during his college career, but must continue to evolve to be a success at the next level. Isabella is much more physical than his stature would suggest, but he would need to get stronger to hold up to the constant pounding at the NFL level. Dale Zanine-USA TODAY SportsAndy Isabella is projected to be drafted early on the draft's second day, possibly even sneaking into the first round. He adds value as a kick or punt returner, given his open field running skills. Isabella could be a deadly weapon for any offense. He may best be utilized as a motion receiver or in bunch formations initially, to better get him in open space. Isabella has the look of an every down weapon though, one that can be effective from anywhere in the offensive formation. He gets rapid separation on short patterns, and turns short gains into big plays with his running ability, as well as taking the top off a defense with his blazing speed. Isabella flew under the radar of major college recruiters, but may be very relevant very quickly upon his arrival to the NFL.
